I have a question. While I'm not in favor of denying anyone the due process of law, I am at odds here. On the one hand, I applaud this law. I live in a condo where 20% of the people don't pay they're maintenance. They have gym memberships, new cars, etc but they feel they don't have to pay their maintenance. We're $60,000 in the red on this issue. Sooner or later, the board is going to have to have an assesment to pay for these other clowns so why isn't it fair for the board to take their condo they don't think enough about to maintain and sell it on the court house steps for back maintenance and such. The banks won't foreclose because they don't want to be in the real estate business so who's left to hold the financial bag? The other residents who do pay their fair share of maintanence. I wouldn't want to see someone lose their house or condo for being behind 3 or 6 months and catch up.... I have a problem with those who don't try to catch up after that. On those terms, I'm in favor of this law..... why should I get stuck paying for my neighbors maintenance?
