FBI informs family they bought stolen house in Murrieta
MURRIETA, Calif. (KABC) — A family is being told the house they thought they bought in Murrieta actually belongs to someone else. The family says they can’t stop making their mortgage payments.
“Even though you’ve made your payments in full every month, you could get a knock at the door saying get out,” said would-be homeowner Charlie Zahari. “If you look at it, we’re renters in a house we can’t move out of.”
That was hardly the feeling last summer where there was all the euphoria of buying their first home.
They custom painted the girls’ bedrooms and sodded the backyard.
They stopped making improvements when they found out they’re not the legal owners of the home.

I believe that if you buy ANY home that was sold/refinanced in the last ten years you could have better odds sticking a loaded revolver up your a$$. Either way, you are going to get a royal screwing and its going to hurt like HELL! And yet, from what I read, investors are snatching up blocks of REO’s like free popcorn at the multiplex. I would be too frightened to go near that toxic waste!
I feel really bad for the people allof them past and present that are involved in this.I’m going to guess that not making anymore improvements is prudent for the current owner but it’s really going to rock for the past home owners as they get free improvements.Leave it up to the banks to keep this stupid crap up to the place that now people are getting the idea you don’t have to be a home owner you can be a perspective home owner and still get screwed.It’s like they are lying in wait for you .What a farce.
Title Insurance companies are run by lawyers. They know how this all works and when they quit issuing title policies because they lose a case in court, there will be no more titles with exceptions in them that hurt a home buyer buying a home with bad title.
That will stop all sales.
What bugs me is where do these companies get the people to enforce and come up with practices that hurt their fellow Americans? They all are privy to the real truth and still work for pay to screw a fellow American.

Fannie Mae just sidestepped the Hawaii legislation by demanding that servicers stop all nonjudicial foreclosures and convert them to judicial foreclosures. Fannie Mae said, but didn’t elaborate, it has title insurance problems!
“There are thousands more foreclosures in Nevada than in Hawaii and our foreclosure mediation laws are so similar, Fannie Mae must be reacting to Hawaii’s higher standard for lenders and mortgage servicers to prove their legal standing to pursue foreclosures in our state,” Harmon said in a FACE press release. “If Fannie Mae is worried that there are flaws in their legal standing to foreclosure, they should not be foreclosing at all, they should be addressing problems with their mortgages.”
Baker said Fannie will be disappointed if it is, in fact, trying to avoid the proof requirement.
“If Fannie Mae thinks somehow they’re going to get a better deal going through the courts and that they won’t have to present the same documentation demonstrating their legal ability to foreclose, I believe they will be sadly mistaken,” Baker wrote Civil Beat via email. “I expect the courts to look with great scrutiny on any foreclosure matter that comes before them, especially now.

Are you saying that Fannie Mae actually changed a state to JUDICIAL foreclosures, just like that??? That means that Obama could tell Fannie Mae, which the U.S. now owns, to order foreclosures in California or other states HAVE to be judicial???
when people stop buying foreclosed homes the Banks are screwed, especially when Securitization findings proved the Bank was not the Note Holder at the time they foreclosed. The cat is out of the bag and aint NO one gona put it back in.
There is going to be lots of that. Now HUD is pushing to get many of their foreclosures out on the
market and sold. The word is going out foreclosures are toxic. Not knowing which ones are legit
and which are fraudulent it’s best not to invest in any of them..
This is a classic example of why buying a foreclosed property or a short sell could be a real loser.
