Handcuff cookies and Chicago foreclosure report greet national meeting of states’ Attorneys General

New Bottom Line members meet with lead AG’s investigating foreclosure fraud by big banks

Forty homeowners and clergy members traveled across the country on Tuesday to Chicago’s Drake Hotel to welcome and urge the nation’s states’ Attorneys General to stand firm for a strong settlement agreement with the big banks.

While the Attorneys General gathered for their NAAG summer meeting, members of the New Bottom Line brought along “welcome packets” that contained cookies with frosted handcuffs to symbolize that the big banks must be held accountable for their crimes, a tourist map of foreclosed homes in Chicago, and a flyer with homeowner’s demands.  In addition, they held a press conference to release “No End in Sight” a new report by New Bottom Line organizational member, National People’s Action detailing foreclosures in Cook County, IL.

New Bottom Line members also met with Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper and Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, who has been spearheading the investigation into massive foreclosure fraud by the country’s leading banks including Bank of America, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase.

    It was reported yesterday that Oklahoma’s AG Scott Pruitt purportedly said the biggest problems his office is seeing to do with Dual Tracking. In April he asked his attorneys to prepare an option that does not require servicers to pay at least $20 billion in fines.
    In my opinion if Mr. Pruits office would take a few moments to investigate they would see that there a number of Foreclosure Mills in Oklahoma on a list indicating they are tied to LPS who has been under investigation for the Robo signing. These Foreclosure Mills are filing documents in court cases saying Oklahoma law PERMITS improperly signed assignemts to become legal if not contested in 5 years. So according to these Foreclosure Mills Forgery/Fraud is alledgedly legal in Oklahoma if commited by people in the Banking Industry but not by private citizens! There are litterly hundreds of Assignments anyone can get copies of from the Court Land Records showing Scott Anderson Signature on them and then POA’s which show these Foreclosure MIlls acting as representative for these Mills tied to LPS, in Oklahoma. It only takes a small amout of time to research them. There is huge differences in these Scott Anderson signatures. It has only become public in the last couple of years there were issues with Robo Signing, and not properly indorsed documents. There has been little advertisement to the Public letting them even know they can file complaints with the AG in Oklahoma..

    Many people who lost thier homes to banks like Countrywide, or ones claiming to be Trustee’s for unitentified Holders of Pass through certificates could NOT find ANY lawyer in the biggest cities in Oklahoma to represent them. It is still a problem. The Foreclousure Mills according to some have known for years they did not have to prove their case, since most people could not get attorneys in Oklahoma and other states to represent them. Those people did not know how to fight the Foreclosure Mills tied to the Business that was ROBO signing. According to the story on 60 minutes it appears it was banks that were allegedly perpetrating the fraud to win cases. Yet these Mills are saying the home owner is not the victim of fraud so they have no right to contest forged documents. Does anyone expect the banks to turn themselves in for allegedly attempting fraud on themselves. Please!!!!

    The newpapers in Oklahoma have been reluctant to publish indiviual stories related to these issues! The media seems to think this is not a MASS problems???
    Many of the Banks and Servicers the government keeps giving contracts to have a history of NOT following OTS regulations or HUD regulations in servicings loans and even have some very unfavorable OIG investigations. No other small business with that kind of record could keep getting big governement contracts without some big lobbying. JMO

    Maybe its time for the US citizens to demand Paristroika in the banking industry!

    I am sickened by the report that they met at the Drake. Unbelievable! There is a Residence Inn directly across the street where they could have met for 100th of the price, and they still could have walked to the lake and had a nice view of the city. And the food, the Drake uses the same junk from GFS as the others. What a waste of money.

    Looks like it is high time the pretender lenders and the U.S. GOVERNMENT, face it, there is NO fixing this. The fraud is too massive. RESCIND and convey the clear title back to homeowners along with the millions of stolen homes already fraudclosed on and taken away illegally.. The banks need to EAT their losses. THEY ARE CRIMINALS/FINANCIAL TERRORISTS AND THEY ARE — USELESS. SEND THE WHOLE FEDERAL TRANCH PACKING INCLUDING THE FEDERAL RESERVE. They made hundreds of trillions from their PONZI SCHEME SWINDLE AND HEIST, THESE FOREIGN OWNED AND OPERATED, WALLSTREET/BANKSTER CROOKS, ROBBED AMERICA BLIND AND THEY STILL ARE. THEY CA– USED MASSIVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND SUFFERING IN AMERICA OF INNOCENT HARD WORKING AMERICANS AND THEY HAVE DESTROYED OUR ECONOMY..     Another parallel foreclosure story involving the same old CROOKS AND THIEVES……………..Wells Fargo,BOA, Chase and citi, etc …………..when are we gonna bring these condemned to justice……….even though it will come after death, for we will all pay for our sins!
