Rep. Darren Soto, Orlando Requests Records Pertaining to Ouster of Bondi’s Former Foreclosure Investigators June Clarkson and Theresa Edwards

Lawmaker wants records pertaining to ouster of former foreclosure investigators

by Kim Miller

Rep. Darren Soto, D-Orlando, sent a public records request today to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi asking for documents related to the forced resignations of Theresa Edwards and June Clarkson.

The two former assistant attorneys general had been the lead investigators on the state’s foreclosure fraud cases, but were abruptly told in May that they could either resign or be fired. The duo say no reason was given for the move. Performance evaluations reflect only positive reviews.

“Public records indicate these terminations occurred while they were in the midst of successful mortgage fraud litigation and in spite of prior successful reviews,” Soto wrote. “As a member who represents an area ravaged by foreclosure fraud, these terminations present an overwhelming public concern.”

I hope this “can of worms” Rep. Soto is opening really unveils the truth of what happened here because there is a rat in this story. It may be Bondi, it may be someone else on her staff but what I really hope is that the banks or LPS or something like that is directly tied to the Attorney General’s office that swayed these firings. That could prove to be catastophic to the lobby.

Well the AG will start the shredders. The cleansing will begin. Better be prepared for a squealer there to squeal. The AG compound will be be buzzing with “get rid of all emails, memorandums.” The covers are going to come off the bed Mrs Pam. Hope there are no stains on those sheets. Your laundry is going to be hung out to dry. Now how can you effectively function as AG with this kind of cloud on your office? It is time to call Republican Govenor Scott, the fix-it man, to see if he has any goons he can spare? I say it is time for you to pack up and join Casey Anthony in some secluded hide-out and wait of ABC or National Enquirer to offer you a termination package award, say maybe a million or two. All parody aside, it is time for the AG to resign. Get out of town Mrs. Obondi. Just take a hike. Call the big bankers and tell them you need five years of RR in the Cayman Islands. They will meet you at the airport with a new cell phone, new clothes, and a suitcase full of money collected from foreclosed home owners. You should like that. 🙂
