State lawmakers ask for federal probe of foreclosure fraud fighters ouster
by Kim Miller
Two Florida lawmakers are asking for federal help in investigating why former state foreclosure investigators were abruptly dismissed in May.
Rep. Darren Soto, D-Orlando, and Sen. Eleanor Sobel, D-Hollywood, sent letters dated yesterday to U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and Attorney General Eric Holder at the U.S. Department of Justice asking them to review performance evaluations for the two ousted investigators and determine whether further action is required.
The letters follow Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s request for an independent investigation of how her office handled the forced resignations of June Clarkson and Theresa Edwards.
Bondi said Tuesday she has her own concerns about the lack of documentation regarding why the two were told in May to resign or be fired.
Edwards and Clarkson released a statement detailing what happened the afternoon of May 20 when they were called into their supervisor’s office and given the ultimatum.

Statement from Edwards and Clarkson on their Firings
The big banks and probably the Fed Res told her bosses to silence this evidence using their worn-out phrase they use with judges: ” if this is ruled on to show fraud in the banking systems, the whole economy will be destroyed” ~~ blah blah
Their fraud is what is hurting our economy and their being treated in an “above the law” status is surely constitutional violations………..
Several of the judges and investigators in Florida have resigned and gone to work for the crooks who they were supposed to be enforcing our laws against????
The firings came from the top. Does anyone else agree with me, the attorneys should have been given the courtesy of who ordered the firings and for what reason. Seems awfully convenient that Pam was out of the state. Seems like Pam has not control over the office she was elected to. She should be taking the responsibility for the actions of the people in her office, not passing the buck. Bad leadership.
Pam is done long before she accomplished anything,
