Hungry Muppet to appear on “Sesame Street”
(Reuters) – A new poverty-stricken Muppet will highlight the issue of hunger struggles on an episode of “Sesame Street”, the show said in a statement on Tuesday.
Pink-faced Muppet Lily, whose family deals with food insecurity, will join Big Bird, Elmo and other favorites on a one-hour prime-time special featuring country star Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams Paisley called “Growing Hope Against Hunger,” to air Oct 9.
The new Muppet will bring awareness to the ongoing hunger struggles that families face in the United States, the show said.
“Food insecurity is a growing and difficult issue for adults to discuss, much less children,” the Paisleys said in a statement.

It’s getting harder and harder to read the posts on this blog and follow the trail. The subject of a post gets muted with diversions along every avenue…it’s like entering Disney World for the first time and not know which way to go first. Honestly people, if you have something to say that is pertinent to the subject by all means do so, but REALLY, I have enough receipes and cookbooks for generations to come!
Bobbi, If you get it, and I know you do, you can see a pattern here..there are alot of dots to connect..this Hitler Plan is meant to confuse….the crazier it sounds the more true it probably is, that is what I have found..the NWO are evil and tasteless…the commercial, unfortunately is not so far from reality for alot of people…The commercial is a WAKE UP CALL…….it is telling people they are not imagining how bad things are, and they are really alot worse than many think…….I found this commercial to be honest…gross, but honest….This reminds me of a story my mother told me about when she was a kid, they were so poor, they cooked her pet rabbit for dinner one night….Things really are this bad for many in America…While the criminal ruling elite and their evil minions and cohorts on Wall Street, at the Federal Reserve and the politicians live and eat like kings and queens…MSNBC reported a couple of weeks ago that half of the country is living below the poverty line…..The truth is really ugly…
I believe Warren Buffet is a proxy for the Federal Reserve. they think they are sly, using him as an agent to do their dirty work…..but what they are really doing is secretly recapitilizing the banks through him and he is getting paid well for it…They are either guaranteening his investment or funnelling the money through him…. Buffet was a freemarket capitalist by definition at one time, but he crossed the line a while ago to a fascist pig.. The fact he has soo much wealth affords him the luxury to take risk but, I don’t believe he is that big of a risk taker….Remember the Fed said a few weeks ago, it has many tools to recapitalize the banks, in other words, steal from all of us with…Warrren Buffet is just helping the FED to create more US. Ivent – Yes, I do get it and like you, it is ever so frustrating that at times I just want to scream to world to WAKE UP. On the other side, though, on whether Ron Paul is a freeemason, I have a different point of view. He has publicaly claimed that he is not a mason and that I believe. My reason for thinking so is that my own father was a Masonic Master. He was a union worker all his life; fought hard for a better life for factory workers and raised the four of us to have honor and love of God. If he were here now he would be right beside me fighting the fight to regain our freedoms. My sister and I both were involved in Jobs Daughters, a youth group of the masons that promoted character, moral and spiritual growth. My father was proud to be a mason as is the lot of them. Ron Paul, if he were a mason would not declare himself not so and defain the organization. My father was also a Shriner were he devoted time to give to children that had not.
We are at a crossing point where it does not matter which party our next leader comes from; only that he/she represents the constitution of the United States and bears witness that he/she will uphold that constitution for the people. I am in no way saying that Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate but for now his record is one that stands the test of fighting for the citizens. We have allowed the media to cast our votes for us in the past and it’s high time we take responsibility for educating ourselves on the candidates. Just look what we got now…a day late and a dollar short and we still do not know much about Obama now do we? He spoke what the people wanted to hear and this time in 2012 we MUST be more diligent in whom we will trust our futures. God Bless Ivent. Bobbi Swann, If Ron Paul says he is not a freemason, than he is not..I read by oath they can’t keep that a secret. Believe me, I am not freemason bashing.. I have read that the lower levels are not a part of what the hierarchy does. That is the way the secret societies operate I guess..who really knows? Just trying to raise awareness that we should not trust so much what they say and verify more. I still think they all need to sign contracts before they are elected…Can’t trust the sob’s…that is why we are all here..we all trusted too much…I do like Ron Paul. We need to issue our own currency and abolish the Fed and the U.N. in other words, abolish the New World Order…..There needs to be alot more Government accountability about what they are doing with our money…because we all pay taxes. After all we pay their salaries, health insurance and pensions and they treat all of us like pee ons…They should not be allowed to invest in our debt either….that is unforgiveable….The robbery and treason needs to stop. Bobbi…You mention your father as a Master Mason….My father who was a Detective Lt. on the Police Force for 25 years…highly respected…was also a Mason…Phoenicia Lodge…this was back in the 40’s & 50’s…he often took all 6 kids down the the Mosonic Temple to functions…We were to young at that time to even know anything about the Masons..but when he passed away at an early age…undergoing a back operation…his funeral was a full honors Police funeral and the Mason also gave their honors…..some years later I was told he joined the Mason to follow his line of work….Detective….if this was true I will never know. My Mom claimed she did not know what his connection was either…so I left it at that. I read the other day that one had to go very high in the Masons to even start to learn the real plans of the Masons…those at the lower level have no idea..all is hidden. My sister who worked for 27 years for the Michigan State Police said it was not a good organization…..So at this point I leave it to my childhood memories that I loved to go to their functions for the families…….
Thanks Marilyn for sharing. My father’s funeral was also served by the Masons. He was buried with the ‘apron’ in his coffin. My older brother, who had a drinking problem & bad marriage(s) did follow my father’s footsteps into the Masons. He is now sober through their help and direction. When he completed his last degree I presented him with my father’s masonic ring which was willed to me (although I did not have any boys). He now is a fine grandfather with his life turned around. I do also remember as a child always trying to figure out how to read my fathers masonic book. Today, with the vast amount of electronics and the internet I have no doubt I wouldn’t have a problem. Good memories. Every once in a while to keep our sanity I think we all need to reflect back on better times, eh?
