650,000 Americans Joined Credit Unions Last Month — More Than In All Of 2010 Combined
One of the tactics the 99 Percenters are using to take back the country from the 1 percent is to move their moneyfrom big banks to credit unions, community banks, and other smaller financial unions that aren’t gambling with our nation’s future.
Now, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) reports that a whopping 650,000 Americans have joined credit unions since Sept. 29 — the date that Bank of America announced it would start charging a $5 monthly debit fee, a move it backed down on this week.
To put that in perspective, there were only 600,000 new members for credit unions in all of 2010. “These results indicate that consumers are clearly making a smarter choice by moving to credit unions where, on average, they will save about $70 a year in fewer or no fees, lower rates on loans and higher return on savings,” said CUNA President Bill Cheney.

Amazing!!! I thought that everyone was too stupid to pull their money out of the crooked FED controlled banks.
Maybe there is some hope now that people are finally waking up to the fact that the crooks who run the FED control the puppets in government and the news media.
The key is pressure in all segments! Moving money, making complaints, writing blogs, columns, newspapers, opinion, letters to editors, media, If we can’t physically be in NY, in a March on Wall Street, in an Oakland port or a Nashville park, we can sit at our computers and make NOISE! We can manipulate our money or move it and we can explore legal avenues, tackle the banks, credit card companies, etc.
Bravo to the Radio show and this blog! Lets touch everyone we can with the homeowners’ story and message. The tide is turning slowly but expect banks and government to fight back by trying to get AGs to settle, Congress duped or in the dark, lackluster efforts by OCC and the industry, veiled shadow deception, more of the same fraud. We have to go around the mainstream and tackled every avenue or resource available. Develop new methods to fight to sway public opinion, cause dissension! We have been effective and we see OCCUPY, a movement we never thought could work, is taking over and their message shouted globally. We need to support in the courts, verbally, physically, with any legal method available to us.
It is our voice in support of OCCUPY, right?
