I’m of Irish descent and I love these two guys and I love the videos. Without taking anything away from the points they’re making which may well be heartfelt, the truth is that THIS IS AN ACT!

The Irishman is Denis Ryan, an entertainer who is currently working in banking and the reporter, ‘Jason Calibri’ is actually a Canadian comedian named Tony Quinn.

The man at the center of the famous rant about the Irish economy which has become a massive YouTube with 1.27 million hits so far has revealed why he spoke out.
His rant has gone viral worldwide and media all over the world has sought him out.
His name is Denis Ryan, a native of Newport, Co Tipperary and a very well known entertainer and businessman in Canada. He is currently an investment banker in Halifax Nova Scotia.
the give away was the line about michael flatly at the end that made me laugh — but everything denis said is true.
The Michael Flatley line was at the end of the first video – what makes it funny is that Flatley IS American, born in Chicago.
The other reason I like these guys is, if Ryan had another 7 or 8 inches on him, he could be my dad’s twin brother in his later years.
This man is just speaking the truth…there are no nice words for what these WALL STREET crooks did or the traitor politicians who allowed it…..

I vent…I for one cannot use sweet words to explain my anger….no one would listen to me if I didn’t express my real thoughts …like it or not…….what that Irishman said and the words he used…. got the attention……take out the swear words and it flatens the whole conversation….they asked him for his opinion and he gave it….he made his point very clear…..
This guy is great…I was watching Thom Hartman tonite on RT news…He and a guest were talking about a College Debt Forgiveness Jubilee..TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY AND GIVE THE COLLEGE KIDS MONEY TO SPEND INTO THE ECONOMY…….I say wait a cotton picking minute….WTF about us? WE THE HOMEOWNERS WHO SUPPORTED THOSE COLLEGE STUDENTS THROUGH COLLEGE AND HAVE BEEN PUTTING A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS AND FOOD IN THERE MOUTHS FOR THE LAST 20 + YEARS….AND GUESS WHAT? WE STILL ARE…! THERE BETTER NOT BE A COLLEGE DEBT JUBILEE UNTIL THERE IS A MORTGAGE JUBILEE….THEY WANT ALL OF US TO DIE ON THE VINE AND LOSE OUR HOMES SO OUR KIDS CAN GO OUT AND BUY HOMES AND GO TO THE MALL AND BUY NEEDLESS SHIT…..NOW THAT IS FUCKED UP…

It’s all about “You can’t get a break unless I get a break first” or “You can wallow in debt slavery but I deserve to be bailed” or “Me first, me first, me first”
Jeebus! What’s so hard to understand about this? EVERYBODY deserves liberation from the horrible, unjust costs imposed on us by the elite. Why should kids in their 20’s face decades of debt slavery while those who borrowed for a mortgage get helped? Who are the mortgage owners going to sell to if kids have to spend such a big part of their productive working lives paying off student loans that they are doomed to be renters forever?
DO YOU REALLY NOT GET THIS!! We’re all in this TOGETHER! EVERYONE has seen their wealth ripped away, their futures constrained and it has to stop!
I have nothing to gain from this personally. We worked all the way through college and graduate school and had very little in student loans which we were able to pay off quickly. We never borrowed against our house and were able to pay it off 12 years early. STILL, I support a student loan jubilee – because it’s good for our young people and GOOD FOR AMERICA. I support mortgage writedowns or possibly a jubilee because I don’t see how the economy can recover without it and it’s GOOD FOR AMERICA.
We can no longer afford to focus on our own narrow, parochial, provincial little views anymore. We’re ALL under attack and need to be united or we can never win. It can’t be about ME anymore, it has to be about US.
We can no longer afford the small minded selfishness that says I deserve a break but those kids over there or those old people over there or those darker skinned people over there DON’T. They deserve to be screwed sideways by the elite because .. .. .. well, because they’re NOT ME.
This has got to stop.

I would like to add Caitlin O. that Obama already stated last year that the people got into this mess throught NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN…..You can’t forgive the college debt and do nothing for homeowners….THE HOMEOWNERS DID NOT CA– USE THIS MESS….WALL STREET DID…AND IT WAS INTENTIONAL…

I have NEVER said and I have NEVER believed that people brought this down on themselves. Nothing in your response makes sense because you’re arguing against a position I have never held.
My point was simply that if you are calling for a mortgage jubilee which will benefit you personally and are, at the same time, against a student loan jubilee, which doesn’t benefit you personally, because “kids .. .. .. will just buy needless shit” then that is:
a. playing right into the hands of the elite who would love to continue to keep us divided and
b. the worst, ugliest form of hypocrisy and selfishness.
My husband and I can’t benefit personally from either a mortgage or student loan jubilee. We support them because they’re good for the 99% and good for the country.

ireland came back from centuries of prejudice and the deliberate starvation by the english during the potato famine (there were corn reserves that we not released to save the dying irish) . irleand built themselves up into a powerhouse.
