This practice, needless to say, is preposterous. If people can’t pay their debts and have no prospect of being able to pay their debts, they should declare bankruptcy. And the debts should be written off. Companies don’t go to jail when they default. Neither should people.

This is insanity in action ~ 1. The debt collectors should be in jail for fraudulently misrepresenting their cases as the Banks/Credit Card Companies still being the plaintiff, when these bottom-feeders have purchased these out-dated accounts. 2. Next they interest to these account that they have no lender’s license to do so, even if they represented these accounts as ones they had bought. 3 Their fraudulent case filing are a fraud upon the courts; whereas they have no documentation of an initial contract……….the list goes on but it is getting late……….CROOKS all of them and they should be the ones to lose their bar license and go directly to JAIL………..

Jeff Macke, the bald hypocrite in this video advocating debtors prison because, ya’ know, everybody was treated the same is either dishonest or just stupid. I can think of about 25 trillion reasons why creditors and debtors were not treated the same.
Happy they are outraged about sending debtors to jail, but appalled at the number of assumptions made and the number of points missed. I don’t even have time to cover them all, but the assumption that debt collectors are collecting legitimately, that the money being sought is money actually borrowed instead of trumped-up charges. and that bankruptcy is the solution to everything for everyone who has debts, is just mind-boggling.
