Can’t Touch This | Stern Still Prevailing in Florida’s 4th DCA – Florida Bar & Bondi Remain Silent

So-called “foreclosure king” wins appeal in 4th DCA

by Kim Miller, Palm Beach Post

The 4th District Court of Appeal sided with the Law Offices of David J. Stern today, quashing a state subpoena issued in an investigation of the firm’s foreclosure work.

Stern’s company, which once handled more than 100,000 foreclosure cases in Florida for lenders and servicers, has been under investigation by the Florida attorney general’s office for more than a year. The firm closed in March after losing most of its business following an announcement of the investigation and sworn statements from former employees that alleged foreclosure wrongdoing.
