RED ALERT | (un)Fair Foreclosure Act – The Legislature is Slipping SB 1890 into SB 670 as an Amendment Today!!!

Slippery Bastards!

They are slipping in the foreclosure act into another bill!

This is bullshit. They removed the abandoned property section, so this was NEVER about abandoned properties! They also removed the required documents to be filed by the plaintiff to establish they have the right to foreclose. And I think the part that reduced the time on deficiency judgments is gone as well.

See below…

Stay tuned for details!

Senators Richter, Gaetz, and Ring moved the following:
Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 1
2
Between lines 27 and 28 3 insert: 4
Section 2. Section 702.10, Florida Statutes, is amended to 5 read: 6
702.10 Order to show cause; entry of final judgment of 7 foreclosure; payment during foreclosure.—

These people are nothing less than bank owned cronies. I thought it was bad here in Florida but this takes the cake!

Not only are they slipping SB 1890 in 670, 670 states if you have a lease and it is not recorded in the public records it does not exist.

Hardly ever is a lease recorded in public records. These tenants had nothing to do with the foreclosure but the legislature wants to throw them out in the street too.

Please everyone that reads this. Get on the phones and call their offices! Send emails as well!

Tell them they are violating everything that they were elected for and to stop this madness!

I could be wrong and prey I am correct, but I get a feeling this bill wont fly today. It just sounds to out there, Its almost as if a bunch of 5th graders wrote it. Its childish in every way shape or form. If it does pass, I can tell you we are in a terrible place in this country. More so then ever thought. The mere fact that we have Senators trying to do this is super scary in itself.

Thanks for providing the information you do through your website – it’s a great resource.

I sent the following a few minutes ago to all Florida Senators even though I’m becoming more disillusioned with age:

What Florida Senators are Patriots? We may find out today.

Any Florida Senator who supports SB 670 for passage with SB 1890 incorporated IN ANY FORM, is either negligent or an outright shill for the banks.

From a resource that is helping keep politicians focused on what is in the best interest of their constituents rather than what is in their own self-interest:

“They removed the abandoned property section, so this was NEVER about abandoned properties! They also removed the required documents to be filed by the plaintiff to establish they have the right to foreclose. And I think the part that reduced the time on deficiency judgments is gone as well.”

    and

“Not only are they slipping SB 1890 in 670, 670 states if you have a lease and it is not recorded in the public records it does not exist.

Hardly ever is a lease recorded in public records. These tenants had nothing to do with the foreclosure but the legislature wants to throw them out in the street too.”

For twenty plus years I served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy and am appalled at the self-serving and special interest serving obsequious character of many of our politicians today. Passing SB 670 with SB 1890 slid in while ‘no one is looking’ is the same deplorable rationale that brought us “We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” Despicable behavior.

Anyone that votes for this legislation the way it reads as quoted above does not deserve the responsibility, honor and privilege that comes with serving in public office. It is your duty to personally ensure you know what the legislation will do in it’s entirety before casting your vote on our behalf.

    Salvatore R. Graziano, USN (Ret.)
