Country star Tim McGraw to give away 25 homes to military members in need during summer tour

The country music superstar is giving away 25 mortgage-free houses — one for each stop on his upcoming “Brothers of the Sun” tour with Kenny Chesney — to wounded or needy service members.

McGraw will kick off the campaign with a Memorial Day concert for military members at New York City’s Beacon Theatre during Fleet Week.

“My sister’s a veteran, my uncle’s a veteran, my grandfather was a veteran, one of my best friends is a veteran,” McGraw said in an interview. “I’ve known people my whole life who are in service to America. And I think in my position to be able to do something like that is probably the ultimate thing. So to be able to go on tour and provide sort of a stable foundation for a veteran and their family is something I really look forward to.”

Tim I am a Blue Star mom from Boston MA and our oldest son is a frontline Marine and also was the medic for his unit. He saw so many friends lose limbs or their life. We are a family that has devoted their lives to doing for others. I held my 1st fundraiser at 8yrs old for Rex Trailer Muscular Dystrophy. I am disabled and have had 23 surgeries. I have been with my hubby for 33 yrs and 9/12/12 we will be married 26 yrs and still madly in love. We have lost our home of 24yrs, our life saving and our future. Our son returned home from his 2nd deployment to find out the only home he ever knew was illegally foreclosed without our knowledge. Our son suffers from PTSD, survival guilt and too much more to list. I envy you because this is what I would love to do. I have a whole paln if I win the lottery. Everyone in town knows if I ever came into money I would help out everyone and I would be on welfare haha but feel good because of all the people I helped. I started “Christmas for the Troops” in 2007 and I hand made over 100 xmas stockings and a friend embriodered all the names and ranks at her shop. I filled a huge box for every soldier and Marine that I sent a stocking to. You can google my name and see the article. I pray you come to Boston MA and we are considered. Thanks for supporting our troops.

Many THANKS to Tim MCGraw -boy it sure would be nice if our useless do nothing legislators would step up to the plate to help our serviceman and woman who have also been victimized by fraudclosures.
We have legislators at the state and Federal level who prefer to enable and facilitate the criminal
banks… YES our serviceman are being victimized and screwed over too .
Elected officials in Tallahassee, Florida all the way up to the AG and GOVERNORS”S office are enablers and facilitators who aid and abet despot bank criminals.

Yes – I am certainly referring to to you Rick Scott, Pam Bondi, Rep. Kathleen Passidomo, Rep. Greg Steube, R-Parrish. Rep. Daniel Davis, Rep. Wienstien etc.. all of you despicable low life should eat roach cr@p and then rot in hell for your treasonous criminal acts. Yeah… Good luck on your re-election campaigns.

Rise up American People! Take back your country from the sick deranged sociopaths.
