7 Banks Hit With Libor Subpoenas Courtesy Of NY Attorney General Schneiderman
The Libor scandal that rocked Barclays is far from over for some of the world’s biggest banks.
JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, UBS, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays and HSBC have been subpoenaed by New YorkAttorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office for their roles in the rate-rigging.
That’s according to a source close to the matter who says there could be additional banks in the mix hit with subpoenas by the AG’s office.
Connecticut Attorney General General George Jepsen is working jointly on the investigation. More state AGs could join the effort.
The Libor investigations by the AGs are still in the information-collecting stage. What are they looking for? A whole host of ways manipulated Libor rates could have affected investors such as the impact on interest rate swap deals.

When do they go to jail??? when will the mtgs be adjusted to the correct price level??? no lip service!!!put something behind it?? I agree with Bobbi! These banks get a slap on the wrist and it is back to business as ususal. Nothing in the way of JUSTICE ever make it down the the home owners (the people on Main Street).
By now the entire Country (even small children) is aware that the majority of the Foreclosures are illegal, yet the Judges make pathetic excuses and actually justify the fraud that is on the documents brought before the Judge. It is the Judges who are keeping Fraud alive….shame on them…they should be charged with Felony charges.
If the Attorney Generals in each State don’t ban together and disallowing Fraud from coming to the courts by makeing each and every Judge accountable if they turn their cheek the other way and ignore the Fraud. The home owner automatically has their Foreclosure vacated. If this doesn’t wake up the entire Country then it is too late for America. The corruption in this country is disgusting. What is everyone waiting for another Civil War??
That is exactly what is going to have to happen,at this point after so many bailouts,settlements and so forth most people now know this is not getting us anywhere.The next logical step would be riots and revolution.Hate to see this happen but you can only push people so far and take so muich from them before they react.JMHO.
Oh here we go again….does any of this sound oh so familiar????? Another state-wide, nation-wide agreement to absolve them all of their crimes and then pay the various states to fill up their (negative) coffers???I understand posting of this is ‘newsworth’ but paleeeze, don’t think for a minute that this action will in any way benefit the REAL victims! Say….how many of you got your (lost equity, fraud) checks from the nationwide settlement anyway?
Haven’t gotten mine yet was given to understand that great event would take place after1/1/13.We shall see.Not holding my breath thats for sure.
