PBC state attorney investigating county clerk’s evidence department; 3 workers suspended
WEST PALM BEACH — State prosecutors are investigating possible criminal wrongdoing involving three Palm Beach County Clerk and Comptroller employees responsible for maintaining and storing evidence from criminal trials.
Clerk Sharon Bock suspended the members of her office’s evidence department last month and referred the case to the Public Integrity Unit of the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office. Neither Bock nor prosecutors have released details of the suspected wrongdoing, though prosecutors have indicated that the problem potentially involves missing items.
The evidence department holds drugs, guns, money, jewelry and other evidence presented to jurors over the course of thousands of trials in Palm Beach County. It is home to, among other items, the gun used in the Nathaniel Brazill murder case and key evidence in the recent high-profile cases of Dalia Dippolito and polo mogul John Goodman, which are both under appeal.
Bock confirmed two weeks ago that the employees had been suspended and her office was conducting its own review, but Palm Beach County State Attorney Pete Antonacci said this week the case was under criminal investigation as well. The lead investigator on the case works for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, but is assigned to the state attorney’s public corruption division.
Antonacci said he expects the investigation will wrap up within two weeks. He declined to say whether the office expects to file charges, but did say that his office may recommend changes to how Bock manages the department depending on the outcome of the investigation.

not only are fraudulent documents accepted by her office which cost people their homes, evidence is stolen
which taints criminal trials.

I prayed and prayed for Lisa, maybe God heard me. This corruption must stop now and it will not with Bock in office. There should be a do-over in light of this. Not even a do over, just put the the honest , hard-working, anti fraud candadate in office, LISA. The people of Forida deserve better, they deserve Lisa.

So the missing items were related to high profile cases involving rich people on appeal … somebody is getting paid to sabotage the prosecutions case…
Would it not be soooo ‘sweet’ to have her recent election recinded and put Lisa in place!!! Hey Michael, can that be done? Can they show her negligent and ‘unfit’ for office? Ahhhhh, but the doors to the pathway of rightousness have opened, eh?
