I’ve seen documents where a fl & ala law firm billed over $100,000 on a $150,000 ( 2nd mortgage)
Case didn’t even go to trial then tried to file insurance claim forth fees!

So, looks like the greedy lawyers and foreclosure mills keep getting richer and the government is not only helping them, but protecting them; while the borrowers and taxpayers just keep getting taken advantage of….my favorite line “Freddie Mac sent out a memo last week to its ‘designated counsel’ stating that its law firms could not agree to a cut in foreclosure and bankruptcy fees”

Hope you have an indemnification policy from a strong insurer in place for the negligent hiring suits that are on the way because Fannie and Freddie sure don’t have the money to cover the losses from hiring these slugs.

After reading the post… there is quite a bit to read between the lines… not on the record.. wish not to be identified and so forth…. interesting though is that the GSE’s have created the MILL’S in the first place.. David Stern was anointed “Attorney of the YEAR” by Fannie Mae NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!!! And his mentor Gerald M. Shapiro…
