Well at least the Feds are prosecuting this case. In most cases they don't but rarely do to make an EXAMPLE out of someone not in political favour. I would be the criminal cases this defendant was "fixing" were many drug related ones. That pissed the Feds off.

As a former US Special Agent (Treasury) every public corruption or criminality by a politician was run out of Washington and gets classified as a "sensitive case". This means you have to file a detailed update EVERY week with Justice in Washington to the political handlers can keep tabs on it. When you get too close to someone who is IN and they don't want arrested or prosecuted the send down an order transfering the case to the National Office for "investigative coordination and support services". Then it is no you case anylonger and nothing is heard a about it again.

In 1960 the Rev. Adam Clayton Powell was an extremely Democratic Congressman from Harlem, NYC. He constantly railed against candidate Kennedy. At the same time my office had developed an iron clad tax evasion case againt the congressman. I've been told that in return for the congressman's support and shutting up for the rest of the election cycle the case would be burried. It was taken away from the agents in the Manhattan field office and ordered transferred to the National Office and never heard from again.

An I consider myself a progressive Democrat. You had to see what the Nixon administration and his Att'y General did during their years in power. Watergate was just the introductory chapter.

This judge forgot that all of the bribes for fixing criminal cases are supposed to go to the prosecutors. Judges are only allowed to collect bribes in non-criminal cases like foreclosures, child custody, etc.

This is not an isolated case and shows that money is the prevailing factor in everything everywhere. Lying and the taking of an oath is nothing more than part of the circus entertainment. There is no justice and what it amounts to is that there really is no justice just the pretense and the show. It would seem that we should even the scale and do away with laws and revert back to the wild wild west days. At least that would give the average person half a chance. How sad it is. More and more doctors are being found guilty of fradulent billing, lawyers and judges take brides, the banksters rob, cheat and steal while all the hardworking people carry the brunt of it all and wonder what the hell happened?????
