They could put a moratorium on Fannie Mae foreclosures, and even if they had to insure the investors, if they kept the real estate prices high by denying foreclosures, they would in the long run(which American business people just won’t understand) they would stablilize and eventually thrive. But they still want to maintain that backward attitude of hard pressed homeowners as “welfare queens.”
