I heard a few people talking about foreclosure issues, and a few others talking about predatory lending, and I’d never seen them. Maybe more of the get-together’s should be movies or lectures? Never thought about it but it may be good for people who aren’t comfortable showing up and talking about the issues directly? It’s a good way to get around what I call the “foreclosure cringe” — the initial discomfort some have even discussing the word. The banks have done so (read: sooooooo) much damage w/ their lifelong guilt trip. They’re beginning to wake up, but there’s still a lot of emotional baggage.
