People don’t realize the mainstream media can spin things any way they want when they are the only “news” people are willing to watch. Not that Gore would have been any better but WOW, that really proves the people will believe anything the media tells them. The elite who are running the world are laughing at us and are thinking their evil plans are working….Question more……Trust but Verify should be the new motto of the American people. People have to stop being so damned lax about their freedom our we will all lose it.

@ Ivent – a reverse mortgage is simply taking the equity out of the property that would normally be passed on to the heirs of the estate @ death. A reverse mortgage is basically taking NOW what would be left for someone else (heirs) LATER. There are no payments during the term (usually beyond the borrower’s life expectancy) and payout can be made in several fashions: a lump sum payment, monthly fixed amounts, or a draw like a line of credit of amounts specified by the borrower. The interest on the amount taken is still accruing interest over time and at the death of the borrower the home DOES pass to the heirs but with a total of all the sums + interest that was advanced throughout the term of the loan. It is not true that the house goes to the bank or the lender. However, by the time the amounts are calculated, there is of course, no more equity left in the property. Usually the property is sold for about what is owed. It’s like a retirement fund for the future and when it was introduced, it was a good program for the retired and elderly. However, now, with property values so deflated the homes are left with amounts far above the current values. I myself was counting on the Reverse Mortgage to supplement my retirement but now that is all gone – there is no equity left. Also, note that the reverse mortgage only allows the borrower to draw out up to 80% of the current (then value) of the property. It was anticipated at the inception of the program that property values would continue to climb and the 20% was a “cushion” to cover expenses, etc. with a small amount left for the heirs. My children all knew what I was planning so they would not be looking forward to some ‘pot of gold’ from my home when I leave this world. I figured I have worked hard all my life and this was a way to reward myself. This poor lady was soooo duped and the bast*** that brokered this loan should rot in jail for taking her down the wrong path. What she got was NOT a reverse mortgage!

I want to know where he stands on this extremely important issue. This is all the marbles for me. Then I want to know who is funding his campaign.
