GMAC got me too, i was never in default. my prayers are with you. their employees knew what was going on. the judge covered his ears screaming ‘i don wanna hear it’! some how this will be a blessing in disguise…

Operating by assumptions can be a fatal error. Unless you have verified the silence that
has met you as being just that silence, do not assume.
I just read part of this thread for the first time. Truth is, by word of mouth, not by texting
or emailing, or calling, the truth is being told and heard. You’re not going to see the
results of this in the virtual world over night.
Also you should verify which banks are involved in the mortgage fraud, not taking out the
banks who have kept their hands clean. For example small community banks, and small
community credit unions where you can still go and get a mortgage knowing the documents
are not being transported to some unknown location to some unknown entity. Don’t throw
out the baby with the dirty bath water.

I wanted to ad something.
I bought my home Sept. 2005. Beg. of 2007 my husbands work (flooring contractor) started slowing down until there were no more jobs. GMAC took over my loan in April 2007. I’m on SSD. July 2007 I called GMAC to try and make a payment plan. Got the run around for months. They sold my home Feb. 2008. I was evicted Jan. 2009.
I fought very hard to keep my home, called GMAC every day, called attorneys for help, went to the court house for help. Nothing.
No one believed me.
I got a copy of my credit report, it shows all the companies who check your credit and the dates they checked.
What I found strange is GMAC was checking my credit starting a few months before they bought my loan. I was already becoming late on payments for other things, credit card, car, etc. Then they bought my loan.
When I checked the information on my home around the time GMAC sold it, it showed how much money in upgrades my husband and I did when we first bought the home.
We did a lot of work.
Just an additional FYI, I was never notified that GMAC filed a default Oct. 2007. Nor did they notify me I was in foreclosure. The only way I found out is they put a notice of sale a couple weeks before on a different street with the same number. That person brought the notice to me.
I’m so angry.
There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about my home.
I’m in my 2nd apartment with my 8 year old who misses his old room and home and friends.
I’m seperated now, just signed papers for divorce. Life has never been the same.
I can’t even rent an apartment in my name, I’m living in an apartment with a lease under a friends name.
I can’t by a car.
I can’t get credit.
After years of fighting, I’ve become numb.
I wish this was a nightmere and I’d wake up. But I’m not that lucky.
