About Help the Homeless Program
Nearly 12,000 people in the Washington metropolitan area are without homes. More than 40% are families and one in four is a child. The Help the Homeless Program, which culminates with a Walkathon on the National Mall, raises funds to support organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1988, it has raised more than $85 million, impacting thousands of families and children in our communities.
Make a Difference
Make a difference in the lives of these families and children by walking in the Walkathon on the National Mall, walking in a community Mini-Walk, making a donation, becoming a sponsor, or volunteering your time to support organizations dedicated to serving homeless people. With the support of people like you, in 2010, the Help the Homeless nonprofit agencies touched over 400,000 clients offering over 6,200 housing units to the Washington, DC area.
One hundred percent of all walker registration fees, donations, and sponsorship are tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the furthest extent of the law.
Why I Walk
Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless Program is the nation’s largest fund-raising effort focused on homelessness. In 2010, the D.C. metropolitan area came together to raise $6.5 million for 118 regional non-profit organizations serving people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Nearly 130,000 people raised funds through the Help the Homeless Walkathon on the National Mall, 770 community Mini-Walks, corporate sponsorships, and related activities.

So right you are. There is nothing better than putting up that fake front that they care about the homeless. Why would they care about the homeless when they helped to put them out of their homes? Nothing like stabbing people in the back and then adding salt to the wound. Can’t believe that people think Fannie Mae cares.

Fannie is a dishonest palace of corruption, they should also mention that there are pending homeless via Fannie Mae. FUCK YOU TO HELL!
Fannie itself is much of the cause of homelessness.

Kudos to FNMA, they have what the Nazi’s never had: Good marketing! While law firms near and far, paid for by our tax dollars, eject homeowners coast to coast – good ol’ FNMA needs to show the people that they care about the homeless. even while they are responsible for homelessness coast to coast. How’s that for crazy!
