Because of unions, my Grandfather and my Father both were and are able to enjoy a decent retirement and not have to eat cat food in their old ages….The Corporations want to give the people nothing to retire on… a big fat ZERO…My son who works for a corporation was told after inquiring about a pension plan…What do you need that for? How do you like that?

P Nachman…Why would you even try to justify anything that could possibly be used against WE THE PEOPLE?…Don’t you see these commies are trying to weaken and destroy our U.S. CONSTITUTION, our U.S. BILL OF RIGHTS and all of the laws that were put in place to protect WE THE PEOPLE from a Government tyranny that is completely corrupt and oppressing the people of this great nation….Without unions fighting for good pay, good benefits, insurance and retirment plans we will be a nation of Wall Street debt slaves all working for 10 lousy bucks an hour and living on a fixed income with Government health insurance, Social Security and Medicare is all we will have to look forward to when we are old.They want us NEVER to OWN OUR HOMES….They want the 99% to be renters of everything..and own nothing, nothing but the debt their perps create….out of thin air…!!..The people of America need to fighting for the unions who are not perfect but, they are way better than the alternative… which is GOVERNMENT/CORPORATE DEBT SLAVERY…..and a paperless currency, microchipped society….Now what is worse? Everyone working for WALMART and KMART and the CORPORATE OLIGARCHS….or people working to actually have something of value like a home and have money to invest in the things that we want to invest in….Not what the Corporate Government wants us to have..which is NOTHING…A BIG FAT ZERO….!

You largely miss the point, and bash the ACLU, which must be some kind of redneck tradition. I was never sure why the ACLU is so vilified by certain people. The ACLU has helped prevent: death, imprisonment and human rights violations like us who are victims from predators. No organization is perfect, the ACLU could be doing alot more considering the levels of outright corruption we are seeing. That said, this is no harmless bill where you can quickly say ” oh I’m a citizen, I’m safe”. This is the problem as I see it, people are just clueless. With the Patriot Act, they can kill you extrajudicially. We’ve seen people shot for opposing the Banksters, it may get worse.
Ask yourself, why would our Senators suddenly need to tighten the screws further? Happy populace? To protect us from Jamie Dimon? (No to both)
