People forget that he may not be the most ‘presentable’ on camera; doesn’t wear the correct ‘attire’ but what are we voting for? An intelligent person who can run this country and abide by the US constitution or are we having a Mr. America contest? Really???? Excellent Penni and well said! I’m afraid that all this news, over and over and over again has done just what you mentioned – desensitized! And then the media pouting this great conquer of the Foreclosure Fraud Settlement seems to be the finale for most and so they set all other crimminal activity that is going on aside. After being transferred 5 times I ended up with a gentleman who stated he was a Mortgage Banking Expert. I explained what was happening to me with my Mortgage Company, Eastern Savings Bank, Huntsville, Maryland. I explained that I have lived in my home 35 years and that I have Multiple Sclerosis and that the mortgage was filled with Fraud. I wanted to know if the programs were available. That I needed help. He said “hold on I have to speak to my Supervisor”, he came back and said “No we cannot help you I would suggest you get an attorney.”
I also mentioned that when Andrew Cuomo was the Attorney General I had written to him and explained my situation. I had received a letter from Andrew Cuomo saying he would be willing to help modify my loan with Eastern. I called them back, SO EXCITED, even if I didn’t want to let them get away with Fraud maybe I could get a livable Mortgage. Noone knew anything about it. I called all the way up to and after Andrew Cuomo became the Governor. I once again said that I had received this letter, the secretary put me on hold and came back to and said “the Governor would like you to fax over a copy of the letter’ I had received. Now I think well I’m getting somewhere. But I never heard back and I could never reach anyone that could help me. I went and visited one of the NYS Mobile Units to help people in Foreclosure. They asked me to fill out a form with my address and my story. After the young man who was helping me read my story, he said excuse me I have to go show this to my Supervisor. He never came back and sent a gentleman with a broken accent who said we cannot help you. You should get an attorney.
SO DON’T MENTION THAT YOU CAN PROVE FRAUD. DON’T ASK THEM TO INVESTIGATE. BECA– USE THEY WILL TELL YOU “CAN’T HELP YOU GET LAWYER” REALLY A SHAME!
