This may even apply to Police assisting a vehicle ‘repossession’, IF there is a breach of peace. In one case the Repo company was found to have breached the peace. Officers were sitting in their patrol car told the owner “you don’t want trouble do you?”. It was a question of fact as to whether the officers involvement reached the level of Breach of Peace and it was found it did not. Because they simply made a statement and took no action. The Repo company was found guilty though.
