Use this housing. Have troubled steerage pack their possessions via black plastic bag. Seize the available housing from the “buy and hold” sociopaths, jean clad property managers and other rat-degenerates who pretend they actually work for positive cash flow. Secure these former middle class hovels, prevent their continued misuse as Wall Street poker chips. Do a Jesus, let the poor homeless wretches survive. Allow them to move in and set up a crude two by four hutch with a soiled futon. At least they’ll collapse onto something soft when exhaustion takes over.
Alternatively, we could have the Military airlift the victims of mother nature (and other assorted financial “ne’er do-wells”) to Detroit, since there is plenty of squat-able shelter there. Voila!
Any victims of man made disaster (and Sandy is but the most recent) must be respected, cared for, supported, forgiven, housed, made whole and defended against those who relentlessly seek to harm them.
