Multnomah County authorizes lawsuit against national mortgage giant to recover recording fees
Emotional testimony from people who recently lost houses through bank foreclosures punctuated a meeting Thursday, during which Multnomah County’s commissioners voted to proceed with a lawsuit against a mortgage giant linked to countless foreclosures nationally.
The lawsuit, expected to be filed within weeks in Multnomah County Circuit Court, will seek damages for allegedly unpaid document-recording fees from Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, or MERS.

Am I understanding this article correctly? Emotional testimony from people who lost their homes to foreclosure (or is it possibly fraudclosure?) Brought on a lawsuit against MERS for not paying recording fees? What about everyone who lost their homes to bank fraud? I don’t know if the emotional testimony from these people was due to fraud or not but hundreds of thousands of families did lose everything based on fraud. Why isn’t anyone doing something about that? What can I do to get back what’s mine from the bank? Any help would be appreciated.
