It is March 2014 and I still have not received my check but I did receive a 1099. Senator Marco Rubio office in Florida is just as mad and are trying to help me. What jerks Rust Consulting I mean Rust Insulting is. Of course they are drawing interest on our money!

I have written to President Obama–SHAME ON THEM Mr. Obama! Will also file a complaint with MN BBB.

The way Rust Insulting has handled this is another class action suit waiting to happen.

Well, my sister-in-law came into my home (lost to Foreclosure) to assist me in downsizing my home from a 2 bed 2 bath to a 1 bed, 1 bath (and only 576 square feet) and thought the check I had on my coffee table was an advertisement and threw it away! I am about to give Rust Company a call and start in on the “long wait”….wish me luck. I am now a widow and could certainly use the money, no matter how much – or little it is.

Not only is this company very unprofessional but extremely shady and rude also. I did manage to talk to people when I called them but it was a long drawn out procedure, I guess in the hopes that I’d hang up! I filed another complaint with the MN BBB yesterday so I’ll update all interested parties on the next adventure and/or excuses for their delay. I read that they are not drawing interest on the monies owed to us but, does anyone really believe that? I cannot think of any other reason for their dishonest actions.

I have been waiting since June 13,2013 and have not heard a word but according to your response and the time you've been waiting, I guess I have no other choice but to sit back and wait also. I will try contacting the MN BBB again. Rust did respond to them in the time frame they were given before so, maybe another contact will get the ball rolling with the check. What have I got to lose, right? And yes, whomever put Rust in charge of this matter should be dealt with accordingly. I imagine the interest on the awards that they are obviously and purposely delaying/witholding, is growing rapidly. I don't know how their business is in good standing, when they continue to do acts like this. Maybe if enough of us complain to the BBB, they'll investigate this company's wrongdoings, and do something about it?

I just want to say I finally received my check, my suggestion to anyone concerned with cashing theirs, is to do as I did and just deposit it to your financial institution. depending on the size of the check, you will probably only have to wait two-three business days. It worked for me…..

I too have been trying to get a check reissued in my name from my deceased husband. We lost the home due to his death. I sent everything. The letters from the court declaring that I am the admistrator of teh estate, the death certificate, a copy of our marriage certificate. I sent everything! It has been over 2 months since they recieved the paperwork. And today I have just been told “unoffically of course that I should be happy if I see the money in 2013”. It took me from February to May just to get them to send me the paperwork to change the name on the check. who ever chose Rust as the paying agent needs fired.

After sending the proper paperwork over a month ago, to have the check re-issued in my name, instead of my deceased Father's name, I received a letter today informing me that I did not include everything that was needed for them to send me the check. There is no way that I left anything out so, this seems to be another way to withold it even longer. I don't know what gives this company the right to do what they have done to so many of us. Tomorrow, I will once again send the requested information, and continue to play their waiting game. It looks like it's the only choice I have in the matter. I wonder who chose such an unprofessional company to handle these settlements?
