Then there’s US Congressman Alan Grayson who asked the FL Supreme Court to order a statewide moratorium on foreclosures until the FL AG’s office can put some of the perps in the pen. (here)
Whew! A lot of goings on since we learned of Florida’s Attorney General Economic Crimes Division’s investigation into whether improper documentation may have been created and filed with Florida courts to speed up foreclosure processes, potentially without the knowledge or consent of the homeowners involved. Millions of Americans are being rendered homeless by a Wall Street gamble that left homeowners, tenants, municipalities, insurers, investors, and 401(k)/pension fund savers, and millions across the globe wiped out while Wall Street financiers continue to be heavily remunerated for their destructive rampage into mortgage backed securities. This must not continue.
