The words “object,” “objection” and “objections” appear in the 45 pages of actual examination of the deponent 85 times, the majority being uttered by counsel for the witness Shellie Hill, DeBlaises of Lerner, Sampson & Rothfuss. Of the several depositions I’ve read in similar circumstances I’ve not seen anything like this. Gives the impression Lerner, Sampson & Rothfuss is more than a little bothered by the whole thing.
In my experience, when an attorney says “object” or “objection,” it is a signal to their client to keep mum.
