Shouldn’t this put some pressure on the 50 AGs, OCC Treasury? Lets hope because they are ready to close a Joke deal with these Banksters
The CBS story is by no means the 20 mega-ton bomb that will blow the banker’s scheme sky-high. It’s just one more brick in the wall.
Each news story in various media is each one more brick in the wall. Day by day, the progress may seem slow, but in a couple of weeks we can stand back and see a lot of progress building a big wall that will compel judges to force banks to prove the unprovable… that the securitized loans are a fraud, all across the fruited plains, from sea to shining sea.
I think the exposure via 60 Minutes is a good thing. However, the old networks have nearly ceased to do any real investigative journalism, and they are simply reporting on something that has been well known for years.
Complacency, my friends. As a post so eloquently paraphrased: Its not my problem. . .until it is my problem and there is no one left to care!
When you have over half the viewers watching The Simpsons, American Dad or America’s Funniest Videos, you have to know the US population has to the point there is little substance between their ears or eyes.
Funny, isn’t that what Rome and few other great cities/countries did before they fell? We are so predictable in this country. Other places, France for example or Egypt, riot when their rights are risked. What do we do as our individual rights erode? Loss of collective bargaining, union membership, bogus tort reform that protects corporate rights and removes your rights to a jury hearing your story. All are being filtered away slowly with our own consent!
Where is the outrage!
Where are the comments on the 60 Minutes piece that is so humorously filled with fraud, deception and illegal action or on Inside Job?????
Has anyone asked for a special prosecutor?
Where are members of Congress seeking a hearing on rampant fraud?
Strange how there was so much material of the type they could have broadcast, though.
The gospel for teens segment symbolized the reliance some have on the invalid concept that god will fix everything when seen aside the foreclosure piece. 60Minutes was trying to sell hope, when they needed to show more reporting.
Now if only about 30,000 judges were among them and have the guts to buck their chief judges and the bank play book, we might see a slow turn around in out judiciary. As I see it, the banks keep their agents busy calling on judges, chief judges, and state legislators. Here in Florida the legislators keep meeting with banking representatives in secret. There is no telling what will be filed and start making its way through the committees and then on calendar and on the floor. I know this, if the party who controls the calendar allows these bank processed new legislations, we will see a revolt in the state house and in the election box. It only takes about 50 strong people in a legislative district to wreck anyone who runs. If the 60 minute story does not change the minds of our judges, then it is evidence our legal system is indeed wall-street law, not the rule of law. May the good judges stand up and show the deadbeat robo-judges how to do it right.
We are really lucky that this aired at all.I kept waiting for some slime bag bankster to call his little friends in the prime time market and tell them not to run this.I’m surprised that our great leader has not come through with some simplified politcal rhetoric to down play it and once again assure all of us that everything is going to be all right.Take them down and hang them high!!!It’s the only way left to us.
i agree with people. i don’t see what there is to chuckle about – scott pelley was laughing w/ the online interviewer about the robo-signer guy saying to co-workers that “we’ll end up on 60 minutes.”
i hope that robo-signer guy read the comments about the destruction people have faced losing their homes.
he is responsible.
from the top (banks/wall street, LPS, f/c mill lawyers to the very bottom, robo-signers, notaries and process servers. they all committed fraud on homeowners..
the robo-signer sitting at a table w/ a stack of papers each day, signing false affidavits have brought a hellstorm of misery down on people. he lied. the people he faced at that table lied, REPEATEDLY resulting in people’s homes being stolen.
i’m not going to let them off easy.
they aren’t chuckling. i’m not chuckling. i want to put a fist through the wall.
the notary girl most certainly knew she was committing fraud. she took an oath as a notary. she betrayed that oath.
well, this was my hope….. that the ratings would be high so that 60 Minutes would continue braodcasting more segments about the fraudclosure debacle.
thank God for Michael redman, Lisa Epstein, Matt Weidner, Karl Denniger, Naked Caitalism and Zerohedge
Carol Ashbury is one of my new heroines. her letter in respinse to the ridiculous Cease and Desist order to Lisa
was a grand slam!
Lynn S. was awesome on 60 minutes. i felt like she was representing my family during the broadcast.
the mainstream media is way too late coming to the party but thank heavens, they have arrived.
people watch 60 Minutes. if they have taken up the baton for us, thank God! if it is a ratings bonanza for them, thank God!
after reading all 22 pages of the 60 Minutes comments, it so clear that the banks and wall street have committed
premeditated FRAUD. every story is a variation on the same theme — homeowners were defrauded!
sheila B – get real. a hush/slush fund? we are going to sue their asses!
If this so why has not the goverment put a stop to this thur all states . If we have done this fraud we would be hined bars
@leonard willsey – sir, it is because the government is as involved in this fraud scheme as the banksters and Wall Street! Who financially backs your Senators and Congressman? the banks…Who does the FED rely upon? the banks. And to top it all off, the court system in this country is reaking with dishonesty (a mild word for what it really is)…
You sir, need to get more informed!
Because the government knew this was going on and did nothing. They would have to admit that they knew fraud was rampant. Now they took over control of Fannie and Freddie. Billions woud be lost and we all know that heaven forbid if the banks fail because of their greed. The little people of the US are nothing but ants to them, they don’t care. Simple as that Now there is big mess that they know will take years to clear up and they don’t have the time and the patience for that..
We are not viewed as ants…………………PEASENTS is what we are to them! They ARE NOT going to change! Be prepared to fight now! Get educated, stop paying all mortgages and gather as much non-violent ammunition as we,………that’s all of us together, ……….can possibly use to break this banking and corporate CARTEL!
PAY NO LOANS, ILLEGAL LOANS ANYWAY, AND THE TBTF BANKS GO BROKE! THAT’S DEAD BROKE! SEEM APPROPRIATE?
