As Government Nears Accord With Banks, Questions Swirl Over Scope Of Investigation
WASHINGTON — State and federal prosecutors are pressing to complete a proposed settlement with the nation’s five largest home loan companies over alleged mortgage abuses, even though they’ve only initiated a limited investigation that hasn’t examined the full extent of the alleged wrongdoing, according to interviews with more than two dozen officials and others familiar with the state and federal probes.
The deal with the mortgage companies would broadly absolve the firms of wrongdoing in exchange for penalties reaching $30 billion and assurances that the firms will adhere to better practices going forward, these sources told The Huffington Post. Negotiators met in Washington last week to hash out the settlement.
For federal and some state officials, expedience now appears to be trumping other considerations in settlement talks with major mortgage servicers. Despite failing to marshal a strong case proving misconduct during the foreclosure crisis, the government is seeking to craft a settlement quickly, in the hopes that this will inject greater certainty into the financial system, stabilize home prices and add vigor to a flagging economy.

Bloomberg reported last week that ahem, TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN MORTGAGE MONEY GOES TO THE FEDERAL RESERVE which they in turn use to buy TREASURIES. Max Keiser had a guest on a month or so ago who stated that the U.S. Government is doing a PONZI SCHEME with TREASURIES. Now one might wonder why would trillions of dollars in mortgage payments be going to the FEDERAL RESERVE? What more proof do we need the whole MORTGAGE FRAUD PONZI SCHEME was a FOREIGN MULTINATIONAL SET UP and it is still going on and all they talk about is there is this huge FEDERAL DEFICIT, a 13 trillion dollar debt that we have to keep jacking it up while the same criminals who robbed America, continue doing business as usual and continue to make massive amounts of wealth off of our backs with the same PONZI SCHEME ROBBERY while also making ALL of us pay for our own robbery through tax payer funded bailouts, QE2, INFLATION AND DEFLATION.. A hundred years ago there was a sever panic in the stock market. When the major newspapers of the day exposed the fact that the banks had worked together to cause the currant panic, but had also caused the one five years prior. The public was outraged, and called upon their elected officials to correct and punish these newly called ” Banksters ” and bills were introduced and times got better, and in 1913 just before Christmas when many had already left, the senate passed the Federal Reserve Act.
It turns out that the Federal Reserve is not federal, it’s owned by the same Banksters that were exposed as stock manipulato rs and thieves.
I think that if we allow without protest, our laws to be broken, our officials to be bribed by despots, our courts, and our land titles corrupted forever, this government al anarchy to continue, we are lost.

About any monetary settlement, I think the parties that are receiving the fines are only filling their coffers to to ofset their own money shortgage in their budget…they are the only ones gaining of our situation …all those that were defrauded by foreclosure should be given their home back to them free and clear as part of the compensation as these banksare still repeating their fraud by attempting to foreclose onthe same properties again…there are some still in limbo due tot he robosigners…

I agree such a settlement would be VERY short lived and most likely NOT followed by the banks. Just look at the case of OCWEN FSB who was sited by the Office of Thrift Supervision in 2004 for Multiple servicing violations. That settlement was Super Short Lived based in information online! OCWEN FSB debanked within a year of agreeing to OTS stipulations and then their remaining assets were placed with OCWEN LLC, a limited liability company also under the Umbrella of OCWEN Finanacial a Foreign owned company.
Many of the Foreclosures by the Trustee for Holders of Mortgage Pass Through Certificates coincedentally took place around the same time OTS cited OCWEN FSB for the multiple violations when these banks saw they were in trouble they just alledgedly assigned the mortgages to the Trustee of the UNKNOWN holders of these Certificates and you started seeing the Scott Anderson Robo signing..
OCWEN LLC is still accused or possilby violating servicing of mortgages. MERS is not the only bad guy in the servicing industry. So much for settlement agreements. OCWEN got out of it in a year. OCWEN has other OIG investigations that are pretty negative and the government still keeps giving them contracts. WHY? MONEY!
If the common citizens forged documents to obtain property illegally they would go to JAIL! Why are Attorney Generals especially those like the likes in Oklahoma and Florida a few others willing to settle for possibly ignore Massive Corporate Fraud !
It would be interesting to see how many of the AG’s hold some type of stock in these banks or receive huge political contributions from them during election time.

Think deep and listen for clues….and you will find the hidden ‘ investor ‘ creditor…..hiding behind the ‘ privacy act ‘ ….yet is out in the open. Another thing…in Discovery ask to see the original recorded mortgage….or ask for both..but expecially the recorded mortage..not a copy. If enough people find the real fraud…..we just might hit the streets….it’s in the origination….our mortgage was paid at the closing but not by the bank….the bank sitting at the closing table was the strawman… All this was hidden from the borrower cause it was a secret………
A settlement of this nature is ill considered and extremely short sighted.

This is the same procedure used by religious establishments to become tax exempt. I didn’t
realize individual properties could have this same exemption. It’s good to know. That along
