Wis. man accused of torching home in foreclosure
GREEN BAY, Wis.— A 46-year-old Green Bay man has been charged with setting fire to his home that was in foreclosure.
Timothy R. Porter was charged Friday with a felony count of arson. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.
A criminal complaint says Porter’s $69,300 home is in a foreclosure action by a bank.
Prosecutors say Porter set fire to the home Wednesday. A neighbor told investigators Porter had been removing items from the house earlier in the day and left shortly before smoke and flames began pouring from a basement window.

Bank of America Get OUT of Wis! We will use a State Charted Bank that pays its profits to our residents. Or we will use a non profit Credit Untion that returns all their profits to their members. Please go to New York or Massechusetts to continue to your scams. Get out of Wi. Either pay your taxes here of get out!

when pushed too far some will do the dirty deed back to the stupid lender fraudsters, but unfortunately he will probably pay the wrong price for being pushed to a crime a and all because he is only a person not a corp baking institution thug. disgusting that people feel this way by the hand of crooks and the wrong ones pay but still please do not set fires it just will not work in your benefit…unfortunately
You do the BANKSTER a big favor if you destroy the home. Now they’ll collect more insurance and will have clear title history on the new house they will build using cheep labor from some poor desprate for work construction worker that was been kickedout foreclosed on by the same BANKSTER! I can hear them now! The banks saying how there creating work to help the economy as your living out of your car. You see, they do care. Next they’ll claim that they did’nt foreclose, they helped you out with your morgage/luggage. ” OUT ” IS THE KEY WORD HEAR
but again if the bankster cannot prove it owns the home they cannot press charges then the fire debt would have to prove arson. I would fight their ass forever all the same.
Aha…good point. Problem is that the poor soul probably does not know how to defend the foreclosure or even how to contest the ownership of the note & mortgage.
i am actually very surprised we have not seen alot more fires
Fight. Fight!! FFiiggghhhtttt!!!!
For all you’re worth, fight.
But not like this fellow did.
Stupendous – if this poor soul is homeless and no hope for the future, at least in jail he will receive shelter, food and clothing. For some, this is a better alternative…albeit it really is not the answer but people are being bled to death, stomped upon and pushed to the outer limits. I agree with Caitlin, I do hope that someone comes to his rescue for his defense in court! Mario made a great point in his posting and it would be soooo bitter sweet if the bank could not prove ownership. Too bad this was not in Nevada, with their new law that just passed!
Bobbi……….After he is in their for a couple of weeks……..they will call him a socialist deadbeat loser and kick him into the street!
Banks have “burned” millions of homeowners out of their homes. This guy could be considered a hero. When Bank of America destroys houses, they use bulldozers.
Agreed. I hope people show up at the court to support this man.
actually its the cheapest method to quiet title and the fastest, then all u do is claim the land, and there may be no lien there. If someone burnt their house down in some madness situation, what business is that of anyone else? and as we already know none of the banksters are able to past the test of ownership. So bankster must have standing to bring a lawsuit and if bankster do not own the thing, how is bankster going to bring this suit?, understand Standing.
