I am really confused. I see nothing in the settlement that pertains to my situation. I just found out about 4-6 months ago just how badly we were defrauded on our VA loan originated in 05. I am still filing “un-recorded deed releases with our recorders office.They took out 2 to 3 loans @ origination, one w/ Washington Mutual as the servicer, never recorded., then when they went BK our loan was given to Wells Fargo, never recorded until the the originator broker “First Mortage Corp” through First Amercan tiltle releases the loan through Wells Fargo. Both Wasthington Mutual and Wells fargo have the same loan number. We put 37k down and they took out $609,337, our home was 159.9 . Where did the rest of the loan money go and further more I found out there was no clear title at closing. Now BOA is claiming the loan through Counrtywide! I am so confused, Do I call the FBI or The Dept. of Veterans Affairs? I am getting pretty burned out about this mess. Good thing BOA turned me down numerous times for a mod and I put in a complaint with the OCC and then appealed their decision. Like I’m going to trust the OCC!!! Yeah right. I hope the Judge, whoever it may be rejects the settlement because it really sucks, not just for me but for too many! In adddition to all that the banks look like they are doing pretty good on wall street today. This is unimaginable that nobodies being arrested for all this. My recorders office isn’t being very nice to me to me. I guess I need a good lawyer if I can find one!!!!

True Story: House cost to build in 2005 $185K. Current assessed valuation $195K.
Current market value $100K in a market with no new construction. Builders can[t compete with REOs and shorts. RIGHT NOW! The goal is to bottom the market, sell cash so title can be FIXED! As I speak there are news stories saying Memphis housing market is one of a 100 cities recovery. They are talking total sales of which 50% or more are REO or shorts, at 1/3 to 1/2 original value. REOs continue to lose value because the higher the original value, the less interested investors are in paing cash so this is taking these houses down drastically. I ask you what these houses will look like in 5 years as tenant properties?
Our government, and this is not partisan because both parties are ignorant as dirt when it comes to looking into the housing industry future, fail to comprehend end result..
Value in housing is owner-occupant pride. Tenant housing will deteriorate, continue to lose value. Foreign investors really care less about who is taking care of property. With a value of 50% they are making more on these rentals than they can in stocks, bonds or other investments where rates and yield are miniscule.
So listen folks, Wall Street and the financial industry with the help of our Government is still sticking it to people. You and me, keeping us in our homes means nothing. We are only in the way, literally!
It is greed and money, both in government and in the marketplace.

However, what did you expect when GM was allowed by the federal government to overturn 100 years of bankruptcy law and put unions first; when Obama gives away billions and trillions of dollars to his buddies in so-called “green energy” endeavors, where everyone profits, declares bankruptcy and walks away scot free with our tax dollars. This government is broken…I believe beyond repair.
