90-Year-Old Woman Fights Eviction
On a typical morning, you can find Eve Ball outside her Porterville home, sitting on the porch, sipping coffee, listening to wind chimes.
Eve Ball said, “It’s been my home ever since my husband past away.”
That was 11 years ago. Her son Barry bought the home for her. Three years later he sold it and negotiated a 10 year lease for his mom with the new owner. In October, the owner foreclosed. Bank of America took over, stopped accepting rent and sent Eve an eviction notice.

the left hand doesn;t know what the right hand is doing, of coarse that comes as no suprise for those of us who have been trying frantically to hold on too our homes; the banks, lenders, believe whatever they are told, they claim you haven;t made a payment yet they are clueless at that point that they refused payment, wouldn;t take out of default when the monies due were attainable, threatening to once against evict a tenant to take over home! Persons that give out cash for keys on properties that aren;t in default should be held accountable, it wasn;t an accident, ones recovering from medical/loss of spouse/job or lifes uncontrolable devastation shouldn;t be harassed ! In the state of Caliornia it is against the law to foreclose without a face to face and trying all possibilities, modifications given that go back up? someone should audit these situations, all the way to the original loan, my experience, they can;t wait to sell off to knew lender, new trust, put a whole new loan package and hides what really happened!! Agents taking more funds, retirement , savings, knowing that will take the home anyway! then pulling the you aren;t making a payment!! it takes monies to maintain properties, if the persons are maintaining their properties that is a whole other issue, but if they are, there is no reason too allow extra monies from the stay too fix something that isn;t broken! and cash for keys! some tenants are not deserving, one should ask to see lease agreements, cancelled payments, and broom swept in some cases is not exceptable, not sharing what is going on with the homeowner trying to keep the property, should be illegal!! Every cash is different, yes some tenants get screwed, so do many landlords, homeowners! In California things weresupose to change! it has not! why?? they make and break their own laws, and who would you belive the persons in charge or the struggling homeowner who isn;t making payments?
They just can’t leave anyone alone. These guys are the worst of the worst.Sharks circling in the water looking for fresh blood.
Unfortunately I think you are right, and then they say, get with your lender? who are they kidding! what for? More lies? They foreclosed on my home, I am waiting for a Sherrifs notice, was told maybe cash for keys, they are all liars, last time I was told that I was locked out? After being told to move back in and they would assist too keep home of 12 years!! Whatever!!!!! Down to last home, now moving out!!!Will have too spend monies I don;t have to protect myself!!! If you call the police you are told civil matter and they won;t help you!!
