@ Joi – ask any city, county or state treasurer where the “public” funds are kept? About 99% of them are in these major banks. That is big time money floating in and out. It really does not make a ‘dent’ to them if the taxpayers don’t use them when the big money depositors are the government entities, labor unions and the like! We would have to get EVERY American citizen to close their account and that just ain’t happenin’. Herein lies the kill pill when we recinded the Glass Stegal Act. Greed is like a cancer and even IF we manage to break these banks up those who are the creators will only move either into gov’t jobs or over to the smaller community banks and credit unions where they will continue their plunder. Those institutions left will grab them up with the hope that such people will bring them the pot o’ gold as well! It’s a continuous vicious cycle almost like a pyramid scheme!
@BOBBI – ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT WITH THE GOD I SERVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. Where I live the town took there money out of one bank and placed it into a reputable credit union. So don’t tell me that they won’t make a difference if they we don’t bank with these banks because in the area where I live people are doing it and the banks are hurting. TRUST IN GOD AND HE WILL MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE.

I serve the same God, Joi and God commands justice. He espects his people to fight back for justice and to sing praises when justice has been served, but he will not do it alone. This country has fallen into bits and pieces and coming together is the only means of delivering justice. The pledge to the American flag says it all: ‘….under God with liberty and justice for all.” It says ‘under’ God; not under the government, nor the politicians; nor the banks. Until we come together under God, justice will not prevail.

@BOBBI
Well you possible can’t be serving the same GOD I’m serving. Yes, he wants us to fight back with prayer, faith, knowledge and wisdom. Didn’t the word say that the battle is not yours, but God’s.(2 Chronicles 20:15).
Yes, this is the Lord’s battle where the battle has to be the Lord’s, or it would be lost. However, that the battle being the Lord’s does not mean that the we are to sit and do nothing.
As the people of Judah was instructed: “You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the LORD is with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:17). They went out and faced their enemy, and the Lord gave them victory as they watched their enemy’s alliance fall apart and the former allies attack one another.
And another thing you never wait for justice to be served to sing praises. You sing and give GOD praises before and after you declared and decree in the name of JESUS that you’ve prevailed and received the victory in advance. And last but not least, your last statement you said “Until we come together under God, justice will not prevail.” Once again I don’t know of any Christian that would of made a negative statement saying that justice will not prevail. Maybe you need to read Romans 8:37 – Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 2 Corinthians 10:3,4 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Yes we can will PREVAIL….
60 Minutes had an article about this a couple of years ago. The way it works is that the crooked state treasury dept has bank employees on the kickback take to turn in safe deposit holders who are paying regularly and are up to date on their box rent payments,but haven’t opened their boxes in a couple of years. They then declare the box “abandoned,” open them, steal the contents and then sell the contents to a select clientele of “bidders” at rock bottom prices. The state is hedging its bets that you are sick, old, or forgetful, and at most, the state will only have to deal with your heirs, who probably don’t know what was in the box anyway. The scam took a turn for the worse when people started finding out what was going on suing the banks, BIG TIME, for the loss of their valuables, AND WINNING!
California was notorious for this, with the head of the CA state treasury dept urging that a law be passed insuring that box holders have no legal recourse once the state seizes “abandoned” boxes.
After this TV segment, I closed out my safe deposit box account and spent good money to have a floor safe sunk in my concrete house foundation. It could still get broken into and its content stolen, hey anythings possible, but that will be my worry.
Great idea but now you have to worry about the safe installers knowing about your safe and/or selling the info to a burgular. I guess you could install the safe yourself and only tell your spouse and/or children about it.

I did install it myself. Now, two additions and a major remodeling later, it is so completely buried in structure that unless you are family, there is no way in HELL you could find it, that is assuming the you know it even exists. Looking back it seems like overkill, since all I keep in it are deeds, car titles, birth certificates, some old family documents (worthless to anyone but family,)and professional licenses. At least I won’t have to walk into the bank someday and find out they have been shredded!
Am I missing something. I just don’t understand why people are still dealing with BOA knowing how crooked and underhanded they. If we the people, stick together and pull our money/business out from these banks they won’t have any choice but to shut down. Our eyes are open to the situation but yet the people are still supporting these crooks. Credit unions all the way a better and smarter choice.
