Off Topic but I’m looking for insight… My neighbors house was just foreclosed on by the HOA , they snaked BOA that was too slow to file … HOA owns the property and probably has no more than $20k in it including lawyers fees and back dues and “penalties for tall grass (unrepaired fence etc. etc. etc.)” , decent house .. I see it as needing $30k in repairs , should sell for $150+ when done .. The HOA most likely has no authority to spend $$$ on repairs and will have to sell to someone cheap .. I’m thinking a cash offer of $60-$75k …
What should I be looking for in a deal?
A clear title and making sure it is not a stolen house.
