WASHINGTON — Deputy Chief Counsel Daniel P. Stipano today discussed use of consultants in enforcement actions taken by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency during a hearing held by the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.

I really like the last paragraph on page 3. Yep, yep, those independent consultants used in the foreclosure review were soooooo much different than what he’s talking about now. A massive transformation of them took place in just a matter of days, that is, ever since it was revealed that those consultants were hired, paid and consulted by the lenders themselves. That’s what I call true ‘independent’ consulting. It is amazing how someone can get up there or write down in words and prove themselves to be the idiots we know they are!
