Housing Justice in Florida: This Weekend Across The State
Want to join the movement to defend our homes? In advance of our Housing Justice Academy in Atlanta later this month, Occupy Our Homes and the American Friends Service Committee are coming to Florida! We’ll be visiting the sunshine state from October 5-8, and we might be coming to a town near you!
We want to talk to people who are interested in doing housing justice work and fighting for their homes and neighborhoods about what it would take to build a movement in the Southeast that has the power to take on Wall Street and defend our homes.

What we’ve learned is that when we come together and fight- we win! Let’s work together to build the movement in the Southeast that can do just that.
In love and service,

Thank you to the host from Occupy for the meeting in Sarasota on Sunday. A rather small turnout but on such short notice. A lot of information was provided and I urge anyone who is living near a city where meetings are being held to attend! It’s time for Florida to be recognized as a disaster state and Occupy’s influence can make a huge difference for us here. Thanks also to my friend from this website Ron Gillis, for taking the time to email me about the meeting! I am looking so forward to seeing Occupy come closer to the Tampa area. If we all band together for a single cause, we win!!!!
