Murder Suicide

“Lambert owned five properties in Palm Beach County in addition to the one where Lindsey lived, which they co-owned. That property was going through foreclosure. A Riviera Beach home was slated for public sale in December. Liens were on four of the other properties, records show.”

Suspect in nurse’s death had seven-hour window to dump body in Glades

With his 16-year-old daughter tucked in bed at his Jupiter apartment, Dr. Albert Lambert had a seven-hour window of opportunity Sunday night.

Starting around 10 p.m., he had to drive to the Palm Beach Country Estates home of his ex-wife, Kimberly Lindsey, hoist her body into the trunk of his daughter’s Toyota Camry, cut off her head and fingertips and dump her body in a secluded sugar cane field south of Clewiston, police reports indicate.

Lambert, 52, got back in time to wake his daughter for school at 5 a.m.

When exactly Lindsey, 49, died is not clear. Police found evidence of a call from her cellphone being made at 6:38 p.m. Oct. 27, and a text message at about 7 p.m. Lambert was with his daughter, Savannah, for all but about 40 minutes between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., when the girl went to bed, reports say. He had been on his own that afternoon from 1 to 5:30.

Lambert is dead, killed by an apparently self-inflicted overdose of narcotics, police say. “The investigation died with Dr. Lambert,” his attorney, Jo Ann Barone, said Monday.

Lindsey, a nurse at Bak Middle School of the Arts, was reported missing Oct. 28. She had last been seen in Fort Myers on Oct. 27, where she had been visiting her daughter, Sofia, at college. A cane crew found her body Wednesday afternoon. On Sunday, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw declared that Lambert had killed her.
