If they were filed in any civil case, then they are public record and anyone can use them for any purpose. (BUT a copy would not be admissible in court) But even if not filed, then who is the author? Isn’t it the court reporter. After all, you have to pay a court reporter for every copy and you can’t reproduce it (for legal use) on your own. I would also argue that nobody talking in a deposition has a copyright claim as far as I know, much less the law firm. Is there case law on this?
