Bank Transfer Day Facebook page:
Greetings, We are Anonymous.

Over the past month, we have witnessed the Occupy protests grow to unbelievable strengths. 82 countries and 1000 cities are currently joining in the Occupy movement. Occupy Wall Street is currently heading into its 30th day of protest and is showing little signs of stopping.

This November the 5th, we invite you to join us, for Bank Transfer day.

We invite you to remove all funds from your bank account and transfer them to a not-for-profit credit union.

Together, we will show banks a day they will never forget.

They will remember, the 5th of November.

We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us.

The Bank Transfer Day is NOT new or part of the OWS movement. It has been around for several years now. I am personally advising people to move all their money out of the BofA’s, Wells Fargo’s and Chase Banks on or before that date. My Wells Fargo account has 23 cents left in it. They actually sent me an email asking if I would like a new debit card? WTH? You would think with all the OWS movements, the Bank Transfer Day coming up and my account having 23 cents in it, they would see the writing on the wall.

Oh, they can’t see the writing on the wall because there are too many robo signers in the room and blocking the view of the wall…

  2. pierre says:

That would be great let us spread the word post it on facebook and e-mail it to everyone we know
let’s do it……………and get rid of those robbers……… the way they charge us fees to use our money and lend against it 20 times…………..we are the ones that should be charging them to put our money in their banks and they share in the profits……………

  3. “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”
    Thomas Jefferson, (Attributed)
    3rd president of US (1743 – 1826)

    • lvent says:

it is their owners who are dangerous……the NWO…..The World Bank owns and controls all of these insitutions via many proxies……Who owns the World Bank? TheVatican….

      • lvent says:

Well we will save the fees but….what about our stolen wealth…? They have it invested overseas…..and they are making mega wealth off of our wealth that they stole……Nationwide tax and mortgage revolt will really knock them to their knees…….

It looks like the bank transfer day 11-5-11 and the Occupy movement are not connected. Interesting?

  5. Elizabeth says:

And please write how it goes with removing the money out of TBTF monsters.

  6. woodknot says:

IT FEELS SO GOOD !!! DO IT -move your money to a Credit Union or Small Community Bank best finance decision I ever made. I’m really looking forward to Nov. 5th- but why wait ??? DO IT NOW- if you have auto bill pay it can be transferred-if you have Soc. Sec on auto deposit it will take thirty days-I still have a Debit Card too.

  7. lies is all they tell says:

i hope the following is added. do not pay credit cards and do not pay mortgages. we need to dispose then rid our lives of this dirt.

  8. lies is all they tell says:

this is so exciting!!!!! i hope this works guys. we nned our wealth returned. our stressful lives gone. we need to enjoy our lives not keep thinking we did something wrong by buying a house.

  9. talktotennessee says:

If this thing goes down as Anon expects, the stock market will suffer too. Just saying. . . . .

    • Javagold says:

who cares … must happen this way

    • lies is all they tell says:

sorry it has to happen. what will save the economy is a bailout fo rthe people. modification of mortgages to below property value so people can move where the jobs are. the economy will not fix if we can not move where the jobs are. this will give folks the abilitty to sell their home and move on. what is not talked about is how they ruined our credit. so we demand if they modify these mortgages they fix our credit scores too. they created this purge of jobs. we can not pay mortgage snad bills with out jobs

  10. talktotennessee says:

This is one way to get B of A’s attention that though they are the gorilla in the room they are vulnerable to the people on the street. Other banks as well. Community banks may be an alternative to credit unions. One does not have to close the account immediately, just remove the money and place in a credit union or community or local FDIC bank. Credit unions typically pay some interest as well. If you have automatic deposits you will need to transfer those but banks count on so much money in reserve every day. To suddenly not have it would gain their attention. To lose a large reserve could bring them to their knees. To date Banks and Wall Street are laughing at the OCCUPY movement as having no teeth. Removing your money from banks is dracula teeth in spades. Having already moved to using cash, no credit and reduced debiting, my credit union is already in place now. To make it complete, removing reserves from banks will hurt them. Small reserves in the thousands or millions really add up. To take those out would hurt banking.
We are the People. We can control the economy and Washington! This tactic is a ‘run on the banks’ and can be devastating. Show banking WHERE the power lies! Pass the word along on fb etc.

    • CaitlinO says:

The best tactic would be to demand your account balances in cash as you close them out.

      • housemanrob says:

….won’t take long and then there will be no more cash……who will pay us then…..the Fed? LOL

      • talktotennessee says:

Be aware that some banks may have a caveat issued when you signed on with them that in some cases they can deny immediate access to funds invoking a waiting period.. Just be aware of your rights before you try to exercise them. If there is an automatic deposit for SS, or payouts for bills you may need to leave the account open until you can get everything forwarded or changed. One can begin now to change automatics, if you decide to close an account. Banks will get the message! I got out of B of A years ago because they were a beast to deal with, never knew me or responded to my needs, would not immediately credit cash deposits, closed out their business day at 2:00 pm and they often held out of town checks for a week before allowing dispersal. Banks have been in control too long. Things will change if they realize THE people are in charge.

  11. CaitlinO says:

Fantastic Idea!!! If our non-responsive government won’t regulate the TBTFs, we can work together to shrink them down small enough to swirl away down the drain.

    • lies is all they tell says:

@caitlino, that is what i did a few weeks ago at the wells fargo branch. it felt so good!!!!! going this friday with my son, moving his account from wells fargo to credit union also. wells fargo plans on charging 3$ a month to use the atm card. cant wait to friday 530pm we should be leaving the bank behind .

  12. raven says:

  13. goi says:

And WHAT is the benefit of THIS….? This whole movement is misleading….. PLEASE provide an ALTERNATIVE To a better monetary system….!!!!

    hmmm…… communism…….socialism……..nobility……. WHAT……????

Please don’t stand on a corner and ‘tell me what is wrong’ without offering me a possible solution to ‘what is RIGHT’…!!!!

Oh by the way………. ‘I DON’T KNOW’ as a response………… is even WORSE that what you’re shouting about…!!!

    • talktotennessee says:

For one answer to your question goi. . . . . If the endeavor is successful I don ‘t want MY money in one of these big banks tied up waiting for the FDIC to take them over or replace reserves. If I had more than the 200K that is FDIC guaranteed, I would definitely move the money and put it in several smaller bank or credit union accounts. Maybe even before November 5, frankly. Regardless of whether you agree with anything OCCUPY or ANONYMOUS is doing or the issues at hand, control of Washington, Wall Street and Big banking is the quest, bringing them to their knees, while they continue to ignore the plight of people. Charging fees on debits is one place they could show their good faith but CEOs collecting 17 Million dollar bonuses and thumbing their noses at Washington and their customers is not a good thing to do right now. Not to remove your money and count on it being there for you after 11-5, as fast as this thing is moving, is a little risky! A word to the wise, don’t you think?

    • housemanrob says:

Goi…..Are you a bank troll……because what you are saying is so elementary wrong……it makes me wonder how many more people need educating…….all of the TBTF banks must go….now!

    • CaitlinO says:

What is the benefit of this? Were you around in 2008? If so, then you might remember the global financial metldown – it was in all the papers. We, the taxpayers, were robbed of trillions of dollars of wealth to support the Too Big To Fail Banks and will be robbed again if they continue that big.

Denying them our business to reduce their size simply reduces our future liability.

The big banks are criminal enterprises. Their customers are their marks. If you stay with a big bank, you’re deliberately making yourself a victim.
