Amazon Customer Review: Chain of Title – Lisa and Michael were Like Barney and Fred Driving their Mission on Stone Wheels

5.0 out of 5 stars – Lisa and Michael were like Barney and Fred driving their mission on stone wheels…

David Dayen will hopefully end up with a lot more awards in addition to the Studs Terkel award – a lot more – maybe even a Pulitzer – and we’ll hopefully see a film about this too . . . Lisa and Michael were like Barney and Fred driving their mission on stone wheels – way ahead of their time with Dayen a now-a-day historian of the modern American crisis – a Grapes of Wrath for the silent and falsely imprisoned masses that seem to be in the millions – perhaps 6.5 million more who don’t even know they’re victims – yet – wait till their 85 and go to get releases from county recorders all over this land . . . in the years 2035 to 2040 – all hell will break lose if the Admin doesn’t fix it now – and what’s wrong with this Administration and its regulators anyhow that the ‘little’ people have to bring the significant stuff to the doors of justice – but the stuff can’t be carried over the thresholds of justice because its too heavy a load – what an embarrassing nation and those who run it – some legacy you’re leaving behind O.

Thank you Deby!

Metaphorically, on the Barney and Fred relation of course.

Just because Lisa dressed up once as a man with a mullet and chin strap for our Jeffrey Stephan deposition reenactment doesn’t not make her a lady…

The statement about releases is interesting. I suggest everyone and I mean everyone, in danger of default or not, judicial or non-judicial state check the existence of a recorded deed, mortgage, note or lien. If one was not legally recorded it does not EXIST, according to law, in most states.Or, interestingly enough, a later lien filed and recorded would become primary. When they check, if one is recorded, verify Notarized affidavits. Some people will be surprised there is NO record of their deed or note OR they may find forged or bogus documents. Whether you are in default or have no problem with payments it pays to check. I know an individual who got a free house like that!
You never know! If documents aren’t recorded, in most states, there is no legal way to foreclose without going to court. If you have a clear title, the burden of proof that a lien existed is on the so called lien holder filing suit.
