Sheriff: Man Facing Foreclosure Hires Man To Burn House
3 Charged In Conspiracy To Collect Insurance Money, Sheriff Says
DENTON, N.C. — A man who was faced with foreclosure hired a Virginia man to burn his house down so he could collect insurance money, Davidson County Sheriff David Grice said.
Grice said the fire happened on Aug. 16 at a home along George Tysinger Road in Denton. During the course of the investigation, fire officials learned that a flammable liquid had been used to start the fire.
Investigators determined that Gregory Ringley, 48, had hired David Hill, 40, of Coeburn, Va., to start the fire, Grice said.
Ringley’s mother, Fern Ringley, 69, was also charged after Grice said she drove Hill to the house so he could start the fire.

We can expect more of this – and worse!
Trickery on the homeowners part is NO better than the deceit on the Lenders part… an old saying comes to mind: 2 wrongs do NOT a right make.
I am so sad that things have become so fraudulent and deceptive on the Lenders part, that some homeowners feel they are pushed to fighting fire with fire…. (sorry, bad pun, I know)
