Mark Stopa Thrown Out of Court (Literally)
Quite candidly, this is not the strongest argument I’ve ever made. It’s technical. I think I’m right, but I’m not going to criticize a judge for ruling against me. The problem was that I was about 45 seconds into my argument, and had clearly not finished my argument, when the judge interrupted, said “you can argue all of that later in the case, the motion is granted.”
I immediately asked if the Order could so reflect, and he said “No, I’ve already signed the Order.”
At that point, I was pissed. It wasn’t a matter of whether I was right or wrong on the merits of the motion. It was a matter of the judge not even being willing to let me make the argument before making a ruling. It’s not like I was rambling on and on, either – I had talked for less than a minute, with a very coherent argument, when he interrupted me (and signed an Order).
Aggravated at the obvious denial of due process, I began to argue more. The judge refused to listen, saying the hearing was over.
I moved to disqualify him, arguing he refused to let me be heard. He refused to rule on the motion to disqualify him, instead saying I was “out of order” and telling the bailiff to remove me from the courtroom.

Mark Stopa is a hack. He recently threw his files all over a parking lot and blamed an opposing council and called Police. After all witnesses were questioned, the Police determined that Stopa as usual was full of it. Run from this hack. Run fast and run far before he screws you and your case up because he has a temper and is just white trash.
As long time clients of Mr. Stopa, he is passionate about the defense of his clients. He takes our plight personally. Find another lawyer that will do that! We went to court to watch him plead our case. He had 4 cases before ours. One by one we watched as he sent the previous four opposing lawyers scurrying for the door. They obviously were not prepared for a lawyer of Mr. Stopa’s caliber. By the time our case came up, our opposing attorney had seen enough and decided to call it a day and regroup. It was obvious to us that the judge in the cases had great respect for Mr. Stopa. We left the courtroom with the greatest admiration for his unbelievable “skill set”. Hiring the Stopa Law Firm was the best investment we have ever made. We don’t know how we can ever repay him for the over the top representation he has given us. We are a couple of old retired folks and have worked with other lawyers in our lifetimes but have never had the good fortune to have representation so dedicated. In our opinion, he is head and shoulders above any other Foreclosure Defense lawyer in the State of Florida. It is no surprise to us that other lawyers might find him off putting, they cannot hold a candle to Mr. Stopa and the passionate defense he provides his clients!
Having knowledge of the judicial system I would have to commend Mark Stopa of a valiant effort to achieve the goal for his client that he has been sworn to represent at the risk of being sanctioned for his efforts. He risked all and put everything on the line to achieve a fair and equitable outcome. This judge must go and all the others of the same attitude, this is a judge that is not of fairness and just pushing another homeowner to the ground to expedite the case. Robert Wade Pro Se Litigant.

The judges say their excuse is that the judicial system is overwhelmed because of all the dead beat homeowners who defaulted on their mortgages, and they’re underfunded so they have no choice but to treat all the defense lawyers and pro se’s like garbage and ram the cases through.
Apparently it’s unimaginable to them that the banks created a bunch of toxic waste and now it’s all coming back and blowing up in their faces.

This Judge needs to be removed and reported to the highest authority! He is their to Judge the law not dismiss people and not hear them. He is an absolute disgrace to the legal system.
If ANYONE reading this was at this hearing you MUST, and I mean *M*U*S*T* file a complaint to the JQC regarding this pretend judge.
Somewhat typical behavior for most courts – deny and abuse your rights and then see if you have the sand to appeal.
“I’m not going to criticize a judge for ruling against me?” Yeah, right. Stopa talks tough but he’s just another bar card enrollee who probably took an oath to protect the status quo of the system, but don’t quote me on that. His loyalty is to the court. If you don’t know who you are – and Stopa isn’t going to bother filling you in – then you are merely a ‘person’…a ward of the court looked upon as being incompetent to handle your own affairs.

Yes the Legislature…..they are the ones you contact/ file complaint against judges to be impeached when they violate your constitutional rights………I have done 2 sine 2006
You did this in Florida? In Florida the legislature is bed partners with the banksters association and the courts do as the banksters say….there is no where to turn in Florida. The courts and government play golf with the banksters……and do we even have any constitutional rights left???? Where???? Alot has changed since 2006…..any complaints would give the legislatures their laugh for the day. If you live in another state that may work….BUT NOT IN FLORIDA.
Wow! This is the king of rob-judge the banks love. I am sure he will get a free girl next time he is available and his wife won’t know. Maybe he will get some crack and money slipped in. This kind of bare-knuckles is what other judges love. And I am sure it will now be repeated. Shyster judges like something brave and bold like this to try in their courts.
Well, it might be court decor for an attorney not to criticize a nut-case judge, but we out here on the streets are not bound by the code of silence. We can speak what we want.
Mark Stoppa has other recourse. But what makes the actions of this judge evil, is that he signed the order BEFORE Mr. Stoppa had finished a minute of his argument. This tells me the judge is like saying to all the defendants do not hire a lawyer to come in here to argue your case. This court does not honor or accept defense lawyers. This court only honors and accepts lawyers for criminal banks and lenders.
The judge must be in need of money to endear himself to the banks like this. We will never know his payoff. But if he gets a nice one, we will see him duplicate this crazy kind of behavior so he can get some more cash.

there should be cameras in the courtroom and all the courtrooms shouldbe taped the
Judges are all out of control we all know this and we need to lobby for this something like
this happened to me and my side was not even heard it was small claims court and the other party had an Attorney. Look we know we have a problem with the Judges we pay the Judges salary enough already we need to sign a petition or lobby and everything needs to be on record either video or
voice this is unbelievable the judges are employees of us the tapayers take the government back people or this will keep happening
