Looking over at the Arizona Legislature site, the bill, SB 1259 just happened to be amended on the same exact day of this settlement conference.
You know what? It gets even better…
THREE days later, on March 25th 2011, an ORDER on the banks lawsuit Colonial Savings, FA v. Gulino et al, is submitted to DISMISS THE CASE WITH PREJUDICE!
Yes the case numbers all match.
So, it appears we just found Ms. Reagan’s “COMPROMISE.”
I wonder what else was included in this “COMPROMISE.”
If this is what it seems to be, we have a much bigger problem in this country than the foreclosure crisis.
And if this turns out to be as it appears, SOMEONE PLEASE BREAK OUT SOME OF THESE!

My apology for not reading every detail of the story here which did mention the fire district bill rewrite. I’m apoplectic over this crass robbery by Reagan and missed it. But I’m dead serious about people calling those two reporters and all reporters in the Phoenix area and revealing her as a crook. She has to be called on account for what looks to any reasonable person like taking a bribe to kill the bill.
According to the Arizona Republic web site, SB 1259 has been signed by the governor. This is the bill summary given by the newspaper: “SB 1259: Expands the definition of a noncontiguous fire district; gives such districts some additional powers.” WHAT? I’d read Reagan gutted the bill, but this is a total destruction if true. Please, everybody, research this to back up the assertion.
If this is true, then we need to get on the reporters to tell the full story. They are Alia Beard Rau at 602-444-4947 and Ginger Rough 602-444-8604 at the Arizona Republic, Searching the site at http://www.azcentral.com, the only reference to SB 1259 is the story linked above. Have they not been covering this critical issue at all? When Arizona is being slaughtered by foreclosures?
Reagan really, really needs to be investigated seriously. The smell of a quid pro quo is like a garbage dump. She’s sold out Arizonans to take care of herself. From a supposed fighter for the public to a goon for the banks. Reagan’s got her house, but has sanctioned taking away the homes of thousands of people it shouldn’t happen to.

The Banks cannot afford to have a law like this passed. They will do anything possible to prevent it from becoming law. Reagan tried to rescind her loan under TILA. Since they did not want her to be able to rescind her loan, they brought suit for declaratory relief. Same old story they argue the borrower cannot tender the loan balance due after the mutual tender obligations. Seems the Court thinks otherwise. Seems Reagan would benefit from SB1259, not sure why she is not really interested in hearing it (as is suggested in the bill above). But it does not seem to me that she is being sued in order to keep her from hearing 1259 on the Arizona house floor. Need more facts here.

Okay Mr.Vondran, since you are an attorney did you happen to really listen to the interview with Ms. Reagan on Channel 5 news? Listen carefully as she blatantly points out “I don’t know if they know I am a lawmaker or not…”. It is obvious that she would not be so stupid to put that in any sort of letter to Colonial Bank as it would have very determental effects but to put it out there on the media (and I’m sure the attorneys for the Plaintiff were carefully watching this broadcast) now they know she is a lawmaker. So, she is basically saying, fix my mortgage or I’ll fix your ass! Bear in mind that she (Reagan) had to concur with the striker on the bill. So Colonial’s reps call the head of the clan (McLain) who has the power to nulify everything and I’m sure that created some sort of monetary if not otherwise valuable exchange, for her power to nix the bill and of course, Reagan concurs with the “deal” that she made and all took place on the very same day!!! That sir, is not coincidence, that sir, is bribery!!!!

I think this was some kind of a show that she and the pretender lender put on to intimidate people into NOT asking for the note. These politicians don’t work for us. They probably did give her the house for free. This may have intimidated some homeowners into not asking for the note. I hope not, I hope their evil scheme blows up on them. Her ‘in person’ interview was quite deceiving. Reading the docs, she went to great lenghts to legally pursue the fraud but she doesn’t address any of it in the interview. She makes it sound like she innocently questioned who had her Note. I believe she brought up so many issues that were right on but when they came back on her she backed down. She had to make a choice and went with the Lie.. sold herself out, what a shame. She could have been a Hero. I do think the documents are quite revealing as they pretty much say what the court is looking for..oh my.

I really hope that all I am reading about this bill SB-1259 is not true. Because if it is, we already know how dirty the banks are and how low the politicians are to sell themselves out without caring for their constituents. It is always the case that the dirty politician looks out for their own interest instead of the interest of the people who put them in their position to lead and represent this country. If at the end we find out that Ms. Reagan sold herself out to the banks by accepting a settlement on her case and do nothing for the bill that she bravely put together with the help of her own constituents and being already passed by 28-2 the majority of the legislators, this proves once again the kind of government we are facing in this country.

I emailed the original reporter on the story about Ms. Reagan’s foreclosure case (CBS news, Channel 5) with all of the information and court docs on this posting. I asked her to have the courage to follow up on that story with the “compromise” on both the bill to the House and Ms. Reagan’s revamping the bill to completely eliminate the protections provided the Arizona citizens on foreclosure cases.
