Looks like the Banksters have taken to the editorial / opinion boards of multiple newspapers today…

If they consider this email that was sent out to supporters as fund-raising, I wonder what they consider contributions to Tom Miller and Pam Bondi from the banking industry?

State AG Eric Schneiderman shouldn’t have used negotiations with banks as fund-raising tools

Given the extraordinary prosecutorial power he wields, state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has a special duty to avoid any hint that his actions are guided by political considerations.

He was wrong, then, to let his campaign fund-raising committee send an email to supporters while he was in negotiations over a nationwide settlement related to the mortgage meltdown.

Headlined “Standing Up for You,” the message trumpeted Schneiderman’s “tough fight” and declared: “Our ongoing investigation into the housing crisis cannot be shut down to accommodate efforts to settle quickly and give banks and others broad immunity from further legal action.”

Left unsaid were the identities of the parties trying, in Schneiderman’s words, to “shut down” his battle. Amazingly, they include the Obama administration and the vast majority of America‘s state attorneys general, who have booted Schneiderman from their steering committee.

It all gives one pause – very long, serious pause.

Here is the email in question that was also posted on his facebook page.

You might have been following the latest developments related to the national settlement of the mortgage probe and our tough fight for a comprehensive resolution to this crisis.

Let me tell you directly: I am deeply committed to pursuing a full investigation into the misconduct that led to the collapse of America’s housing market, and to seeking a resolution that gives homeowners meaningful relief, allows the housing market to begin to recover, and gets our economy moving again.

Our ongoing investigation into the housing crisis cannot be shut down to accommodate efforts to settle quickly and give banks and others broad immunity from further legal action. If you have any thoughts or concerns about this critical issue, please contact our office http://www.ag.ny.gov/contact.html.

Thank you for your support,

Eric T. Schneiderman

Attorney General

This is considered fund-raising?

The bankster shills need to do better than that…
