Foreclosure Firm Steven J. Baum to Close Dow
A law firm that had become a lightning rod in the controversy over mortgage-foreclosure practices has shut down, costing 89 employees their jobs.
The Steven J. Baum P.C. law firm, which has offices in Amherst, N.Y., and Westbury on Long Island, has filed papers with government agencies notifying them that it plans to close. It made the filings under a federal law requiring employers to provide notice before mass layoffs.
“Disrupting the livelihoods of so many dedicated and hardworking people is extremely painful, but the loss of so much business left us no choice but to file these notices,” said Mr. Baum in a statement issued on Monday. A firm spokesman said it would have no further comment beyond the release.

baum’s phone tree at his law firm had the option to
“PRESS 5 if you are a judge.”
(it may have been a different number to press, i can’t remember).
i don’t think this is proper legal procedure.
should a judge be calling a lawyer?
obviously there were many calls from judges otherwise they would not have built this option into their phone tree.
imo
to the now unemployed steven j. baum elves
(who did their part in throwing people out of their homes by using lies and deception),
have a holly, molly christmas AND
a chana lask chanukah! i hope you see susan’s smiling face in every holiday decoration.
you earned every misery that you now will experience.
It is said that steven j. baum makes most of his money through REO services.
his firm files affidavits they know are fraudulent and care only about how fast they can kick the people
out of the house.
attorney general schneiderman should investigate all steven j.baum companies including his law firm,
pillar processing, and his sewer service company called A&J Process Service.

Dear Steven –
That sound you hear, dicktard, is Susie howling with laughter.
Karma kickin yer assssssss!!!!!! hahahahahaahaha
Can’t wait to read the story about how the Baum’s employee’s and Baum get foreclosed on and see how they handle it. See if they like to be served with fraudulent robo-signed docs, bifurcated Notes, and railroaded in court by rocket dockets and thrown on the street.
Wonder how many employee’s will write a book about Baum and the fraud perpetrated at a foreclosure mill and try and cash in.
Buonassissi, Henning & Lash is next…
WOW where is that mouse crackin up at ?
costing 89 employees their jobs????
how about how those 89 employees and baum cost the tens of thousands of people they defrauded
their lost homes??
give me a break!!!
Way to go Bum, now you can’t even afford to pay your employees. Maybe even your mortgage.
Should we all yell “Loser! Deadbeat! Get a job! Pay your bills! Seize everything!” ?
Naaaa, we wouldn’t say the things that Banksters say. We’re much better than that.
Maybe the folks in those photos, after having lost their jobs, will have a chance to personally empathize with foreclosure victims…as foreclosure victims.
Harmon Law. You are next.
