Dimon was responding to a question at an investor conference about the hostile political environment towards banks.
“Acting like everyone who’s been successful is bad and that everyone who is rich is bad — I just don’t get it,” said Dimon at the conference, which was organized by Goldman Sachs.
Big banks, and CEOs like Dimon, have come under fire from Occupy Wall Street and other protesters who are disgruntled about income inequality and feel that big corporations — financial institutions in particular — have undue influence on government. In fact, last month, the protesters in New York targeted Dimon specifically, marching to his apartment and the residences of other wealthy New Yorkers.
Dimon said he’s worked on Wall Street for much of his life and contributed his fair share.
It’s not about ‘the rich are bad’. It’s about the fraudulent bankers that took everything from the American people. I doubt you will ever be forgiven, and you know who you are.
if you got rich by defrauding people– you are bad.
No Jamie, the rich are not bad. I do not begrudge anyone who has worked hard to earn a great deal of money in an honest manner.
The rich who lie, cheat and steal or who provide a platform for lying, cheating and stealing are those who deserve the hate.
You know which category you fall in.
Dimon doesn’t get it because he contributed to the economic collapse. Does anyone think that he will admit to it? He can’t see or doesn’t want to see what he and his budies did to the people of this country.
dimon poised to take over geithner’s job.
a rose is a rose is a rose.
a fraudster is a fraudster is a fraudster.
John Corzine was said to be next in line for the job of Treasury Secretary..and Hillary Clinton calls Russia corrupt and unfair to its people…She really pissed Putin off by her remarks CNN reported..
Per today’s Palm Beach Post business page, his bank was denied HAMP money for the second time because they didn’t fix the things Treasury required.
Yet, he han’t noticed that they’ve done anything wrong? .
Oh, I think you get it Mr. Dimon; I truly think you get it. And you’ll probably get more, until you get something you don’t like, and can’t impress your little pals at Goldman.
How did you dirty greedy bastards get rich Jamie Dimon???…I will tell you how, you got rich by committing massive fraud off of the backs of the 99%…that’s how!
I think the gentleman has delusions of granduer.Without all of us he would be nothing.Let’s face it it is the law of supply and demand. If you have no customers to buy your supply then there is no demand and you don’t make any money.Enough said.
He’s not there talking to the general public – he’s there speaking to other parts of Wall Street cronies and thieves…did you honestly think that he was going to somehow come clean? C’mon folks…..this is all just another of Dimon’s infamous acts of portraying the ‘poor bank’ syndrome.
Sure wish that OWS could have been there to do a Mic Check, but then it was only the ‘elite’ invited guests!
He sounds about as convincing as an idiot radio blowhard. A demented suit like Dimon is required to sound bite on behalf of his corrupt financial institution. Everything out of the poor bastard’s mouth sounds like a grade school excuse for why he was caught stealing. Admit it you bastard, your “success” depends on how much theft, misery and destruction you can get away with. In conclusion, f$#k you.
Your right the banks are world class. World class thieves.
Your right, America is the best country to live in, especially if you
have the ability to steal from innocent Americans and have the government back you up
with the American people’s money. Maybe you would get it if you took your head out of the inner reaches
of your annul cavity and do the right thing and bail out all the Americans who bailed you out because you were to big to fail. All Americans together, we are also to big to fail, so stop your BS and do right by the Americans who did right by you.
